Does this mean the games will be there in widescreen??

Apparently it will come out Nov. 4th on blu ray...

Amazon and best buy have it listed, it's cheaper than the DVD set too!

This is a dilemma. If they have the games in proper widescreen, HD, I need to get it...but I need to get a blu ray player too. If not, there's no need for a blu ray player yet.

Hmm...will this even be the Special Edition though? Bestbuy appears to list it as the special edition and it is coming out right after the special edition DVD...but it doesn't seem clear yet.

Woot. That is good news. I am getting that. I didn't buy the regular one yet so it's great its coming out on Blu-Ray.

i bought the dvd version,but im pretty excited for a nice HD version.

This better be in Wide screen....I've been looking for an excuse to buy a Blue Ray player( I jumped the gun and bought a HD DVD player )....The recent Championship DVD was a huge disappointment-I have a 60" 1080p Plasma, and after seeing the games Live on Directv HD--This DVD was pretty blah.

The games were broadcast in Wide Screen---so there's NO excuse to sell a Blue Ray version of the games in the "normal" format.

Pretty jerk move if you ask me, "Hey let's release the DVD, make no mention of a BluRay, once everyone buys the DVD and there's no demand let's release the BluRay everyone wanted in the first place."

Judging from the cover art it looks like the Blu Ray is just the original DVD which was out months ago, rather than special edition with the 5 games. There is a little sticker on it that says special edition, but it looks like the original non special edition DVD also had that sticker.

This would explain its being a lower price than the special edition 5 DVD set as well.

Looks like I'll stick with ordering the special edition DVD set, maybe if the Blu Ray turns out to have the games on wide screen I'll get it eventually when I get a blu ray player, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Amazon has a pic of the back cover now. Looks like the Blu Ray is just the DVD from July, no complete games or anything like will be on the 5 DVD set.

Frankly I'm surprised that anyone bought the DVD in the first place rather than waiting for the DVD set coming in October.
