Terrific big man rotation!

this is really terrific: KG, Perk, O'Bryant, Powe, Davis

Kendrick Perkins should be fine this year, and even more improved. He's only 23, but he and KG are one of the top C-PF combos in the league.

Patrick O'Bryant is the ideal back up center that we've lacked. Firstly, he has length and is a great shot blocker. We have never had a shot blocker like this (except for maybe Ratliff or Blount for some time). Granted, KG and Perk are top shot blockers, but O'Bryant is a true shot-blocker, as true as they come. And he's a good rebounder, good passing ability, and can score.

Leon Powe and Glen Davis are superb back up bigs. I am not sure they have improved considerably from last season, or even if they have too much room to improve here on in. But any coach would take last year's Powe and Davis on their bench any day.

And who knows, if we get PJ Brown back in the second half:
KG, Perkins, O'Bryant, Brown, Powe, Davis

Plus our big options should not have a problem matching up with any team this season

we already know the incredible value of Powe and Perkins (their toughness and effort) against teams that aren't very strong inside.

Against teams that are long, like Cleveland, O'Bryant will just follow from where PJ Brown left off.

We already know that KG plays out of this world against the top centers. He was crazy last year against Yao Ming and Amare Stoudemire. Perkins plays very well against Dwight. We can matchup with Toronto this season.

Davis can box out or muscle anybody. He must be the strongest player in the NBA today

Stretch, I feel your sentiment, but I wouldn't rush to conclusions on all these guys yet...

Pretty nice first outing by POB. You can see he's got some potential. He really, really needs to go on a weight training regimen. I could see that doing wonders for his game.

I think that the Celts could use one more guy with true 6'10" height,

that can hit a jump shot.

Say, Joe Smith.

I'd give up Brian Scalabrine + Gabe Pruitt + J.R. Giddens to get him.

Creates the option of having Smith, who is really a PF, alongside Garnett.

But Smith can hit a jumper out to 17 feet, and is 4 inches taller than Leon Powe
(at least 3 1/2 inces taller).

Leaves the Celtics with 14 men, with probably Sam Cassell and Glen Davis on the Inactive List,
if that trade were to go down.

12 Man Rotation

C: Perk / POB / KG
PF: KG / J Smith / Powe
SF: Pierce / Miles or Walker (coaches choice)
SG: Allen & Allen
PG: Rajon / Eddie / Tony if needed

Yeah, I'm rooting for all these guys, especially Patty O'B, but one preseason game does not a season make or break.

POB just stamped BBD's ticket out of Boston either in trade or just at the end of the year.

Scal is pathetic. Maybe we can get a roster exemption for having to carry him. Maybe the token white guy exemption (TWGE). Is there one?
