Cassell makes more sense on Rivers' coaching staff

If this is the case, Cassell in a suit and tie as oppose to a jersey makes more sense if his contract is indeed guaranteed. If Miles' contract isn't... Then that's flexibility in terms of a roster opening down the road next season.

Guard Sam Cassell, who has a guaranteed contract, sat out last night and has played in only one exhibition. When asked if Cassell could be an assistant coach and not a player when the season starts, Rivers said, "I don't know yet. We'll see."
