NEW YORK — Less than two minutes into the Knicks’ 101-90 beat-down by Boston, Stephon Marbury started trading Tuesday night trash talk with Eddie House.

"You’re a bum," Marbury declared more than once on one trip down the floor.

"You should be worried about [guarding] Ray Allen," House responded on another trip.

"I’m worried about you," Marbury blurted back before later calling the Celtics’ guard "[unprintable] garbage."

aside from all that, eddie has had a great preseason, i cant wait until he is raining down threes when it counts

Marbury is just jealous because he wanted to be playing on this celtics team. But eddie is.

No offense to House, but if I am marbury, I would have said the same thing too. Eddie is a trash talker. Good player, not nearly as good as marbury was, but a hall of famer in terms of trash talking.

LOL. I don't mind it, of course Marbury is going to be pissed off when Eddie House is raining 3 after 3. Eddie has been known to have a bit of a big mouth himself, so it probably wasn't all Marbury. I've seen posters on other boards and elsewhere on the net calling Eddie House 'a bum.' I wonder why that is, is it because he has been around the league so much, or is it because he doesn't have the body and game of a prototypical basketball player? He has been having an amazing preseason, and usually when someone is taking 17 shots a game on this team, I'd call them out on it, but Eddie has been shooting so well that I want him to keep gunning. This is the first time playing 2 seasons for a team since he was with Miami, and I think that may do a lot to help his rhythm and consistency. The guy is a long range jump shooter and his field goal percentage looks like that of a center.

It is because of his mouth. He talks all the time, and talks like he is LeBron. He's a good player. He just doesn't have the stats to back his mouth up.

I watched that game. Marbury got to start and quickly went back to his old ways, like jawing with Eddie as if it was a playoff game against MJ. The guy is a talented athlete, but he has the attention span of a flea. House must have thought it would be easy pickings to get in Marbury's head and disrupt the Knick's rhythm. Sure enough, Celts soon up by 20 and Knicks out of sync. And nobody on the Knicks was trying to get him to shut his trap.

If Marbury wants to call an Eddie a bum, why not try Eddie Curry. That guy is the Knick's only legit center and he can't keep himself away from the buffet line long enough to play one minute a game. Very sad. Knicks are going to be better this year but there are some pressing issues to take care of.

Now, Eddie House been the biggest story in the preseason for the Celtics, IMHO. So bring on the trash talking and then sit back as the fastest trigger in the East knocks a few treys through your grill, Stepped-On.

Heh. Truth be told Eddie does kinda of remind you of some Rec. Player - but this amazing Rec. player that never misses and won't shut up. Go Eddie. I wouldn't say Eddie is some 'story' of a preseason. He does his thing and he does it well but he has always been that kind of player.

As a Knicks fan, I can tell you, Eddie Curry is NOT a legit center. He's too fat, dumb, and lazy to even be called a basketball player at all. He's just garbage. Perhaps moreso than Jerome James.

This is comedic gold. Marbs is such a nutcase. House does talk a lot of trash, and probably deserved a bit of jawing in return, but "get caught up in life"? What does that even mean? LOL

man I love eddie's fire and passion. he will make up for some of posey's off the court contributions. we don't lack passion on this team that's for sure!

Knowing Eddie, he was probably running his mouth too. The funny thing is, Eddie is the better player of the two right now.
