I was just watching the banner ceremony and Hill was introduced as "Assistant Coach" and TT was introduced as "Associate Head Coach". I never really understood what Hill did, but I thought that they were equally well-regarded around the league.

Maybe they gave Tommy a better position to make him stay.

Thidodeau was HIRED as ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH.
Remember, when Jeff Van Gundy resigned from Houston in the Spring of 2007,
Tom Thibodeau took a job with the Wizards.
After two days on the job, Thibodeau decided that
Coach Eddie Jordan and GM Ernie Grunfield were not on the same page,
so Thibs resigned, and immediately signed with the Celtics as Associate Head Coach.

Last person I remember as Associate HC before Tom was Tony Brown.
Wow, what a ****ty decision that was on his part(if it was his decision at all), going to Milwaukee BEFORE Ray and Kevin come here, good call Tony!

Hopefully he sign a multi-year contract because there are a lot of openings out there.
