Tony Allen's daredevil moves to the hoop

Post#1 » by AthrunZala » Sun Nov 2, 2008 7:04 am

What the hell is Tony Allen doing with those bonehead plays of driving to the hoop repeatedly. He can't finish it. He is forcing it.

He's repeatedly shown that he can finish, though. He is forcing it, which is nice, since we need to generate offense somehow. Him and Powe force offense which is what I like about the second unit. I don't think T Allen creating offense is one of our problems.

I don't mind it, he often gets fouled and when he's aggressive the other members on the team follow suit.

It's okay for now, but it is mindless. And in the playoffs a lot of times they won't reward a player for just acting like a crash dummy.

I honestly couldn't argue if an offensive foul is called on Tony because he isn't making an attempt to score... he just needs at least a little angle to get a shot off to at least look like he's attempting to shoot and not crash then shoot.

EVERYONE played like total shiza against the Pacers. After our guys drink some secret gummy berry juice and whoop Houston's butts we'll be talking about how amazing Tony is...

I have no problem with it. Wade's made that move his bread and butter--he just looks prettier doing it. If Tony can make these shots, more power to him.

Unfortunately, Tony doesn't have the b.s. "star power" to get to the line for every daredevil move to the hoop like Mr. Wade does...

Wade earned that right though by actually doing it. And he looks better because he actually puts himself into a position to score... then scores very often after the contact.

Superstars are not decided by birthrights in the NBA, they are made. Pierce should get an increase in superstar currency this year.

Gotta let Tony get his game going or we're going to be really missing PoZ. I have confidence that Tony can do this, his legs are working fine. He'll always be a bench player, but he needs to be a scorer to be on the floor.
