With how much he's getting paid he should be happy we don't ride him out on a rail.

I was at the Bulls game and it really is funny, then sad as it goes on as long as he's in the game, and if it hurts his play, I agree with Doc, it ought to stop. Walter wasn't harassed and he didn't even play D, got no rebounds, took no charges, just lobbed 3's.
Really, If Eddie continues to shoot sub-Walter, we should all be screaming "outta the House" or something

Scal is not a skilled player, but he is a smart player. If the people who chant his name would take note that Scal plays much worse when his name is being chanted, maybe it makes him nervous and unable to focus, I'm not sure, but he definitely plays worse than he normally would (which is really not that great to begin with). So in effect, the fans are hurting the Celtics by getting Scal nervous while he is in the game, thus making him ineffective during the games. I never like the mocking to begin with and I agree with Scal and Doc that it needs to stop.

LOL
If he gets nervous playing then he shouldn't be out there.
Wouldn't the jitters of playing in front of people subside I don't know MAYBE IN HIGH SCHOOL?
He's a big boy and should be able to handle it.

He isn't nervous playing. The difference is he is being SINGLED OUT with MOCKING by the fans. He knows why they are cheering and it is not because he is a great player. Certainly not the same as being nervous about playing.

I find the irony of the comments in this thread, regarding a player who generally puts teammates in good positions to succeed because of his ability to support and play off of more talented teammates, quite amusing. I mean, this thread is like a who's who of those who whine first when someone comments on Ray Allen. Not really surprising but amusing certainly.

I didn't realize that he received the same chants in NJ. The funny thing about the chants is that somehow the media has identified him as a 'fan favorite' now, even though the fans all know he has no business being in the NBA.

But walter knew his role. He was the fan favorite. That is what scal could be. But Scal has a big head and actually thinks he can play with the best of them.

^^Maybe he should back up his ludicrous contract with better play?? A few years back he was getting an attitude when the fans were pissed he was making so much for sucking so bad.
Wah, wah, Scal...you suck at your job and still make more than anyone can spend (reasonably) in a lifetime...and not in the real world...STFU, man.

^^This is exactly the problem and why Scal will never be a Walter...

Comments? Comments!!!??
You guys B*TCH and COMPLAIN. B**CH! B**CH! B**CH! about ray allen after every friggen game. You know how annoying that is? Ray Allen is a hall of famer, and there are a certain few who dislike the fact that he is on this team.

Does he want us to go back to booing him? I'm alright with it if everyone else is.
I think he should be like Darko was for Detroit, a human victory cigar. Red could come on the screen at the end of games with Scala in his mouth...wait that didn't sound right.

Scal is today's Bruno Sundov from what I can tell. I remember going to games back when Sundov was on the team and if he got garbage minutes all you would hear was BRRUUUUUUUUUU-NOOOOOOOOOO!! Bruno and Scal do the same thing offensively when they hear their name, bomb a 3. I'm guessing it is probably human nature. I just thank the good lord that we didn't play Scal against the Bucks at home. All those times he got the ball behind the 3-point line would have been missed shots instead of passes. He came so close to shooting one in crunch time that I found myself yelling at the TV. I think he should have gotten used to it by now.

Hey Scal, you don't like the cheers? Well guess what, we don't like you. You're a joke to all of us, we don't laugh *with* you, we laugh *at* you.
And do they think by coming out and saying this they'll temper the cheers? Because it sure as hell won't, imo.
And lol @ C_C reincarnating Mora, good stuff

Scal is no Bruno Sundov. Do not insult Scal like that!
