That is a real good example to take something said on the court during a basketball game and make a public threat . Give the knicks coach credit though at least he is trying to clean up that organization and get rid of jerks like randolph who should be in jail and a moron like QRich who was dumped by phoenix and by brandy. David Stern should fine both randoplh and especially QRich for those comments. I mean he suspended KG. Maybe QRIch should go back to his neighborhood and do some good for his community instead of making ignorant comments. As much as we dislike NY teams the knicks are the bottom of the barrel classless organization who screw there fans with high ticket prices and still raise prices while putting out an inferior product. knicks are diehards but they get the shaft from dolan, Gaston was a saint compared to him. At least when we were playing bad the C's either maintained ticket prices or lowered them in some sections and disciplined problem players like the tony allen after a shooting incident as tony was found not guilty in a court of law or got rid of them like they did with sebatian telfair guilty of having unregistered weapons. Players like a Qrich or Randolph should worry about trying to win basketball games instead of a street fight.

End of argument right there ^^^

I always find it entertaining when players on bad teams are cocky, it is like shutup, put your head down and go back to your bench.

I think the knicks should acquire Blount, he will be the perfect center they are looking for.

I like KG, I really do. He and Duncan are certain first ballot hall of famers, amazing talents, and simply can't be stopped. They'll be remembered for generations. But, much like the Kobe/Shaq drama left an impression on them both for many in NYC KG has left another impression on them.

KG rolls around doing his best in interviews and on the court trying to act like a hard guy from the streets. In his language, swagger and entire vibe. But the kid has had a silver spoon in his mouth since he was 16 years old. He was protected by agents, fed cash, flown around the country and has had close to 20 years of being a multi-millionaire. But yet he still does his best to sound like he just walked off the block in the South Bronx. It's an acting job, and it's one Randolph called him on........as well as Q-Rich.

While no fan in NYC is stupid enough to ever question KG's talent, I think many will always question his endless desire for street-cred. He gets enough with his play, he needs to shut his mouth. He's an intelligent, normal guy trying to act tough. It's a bit ridiculous.

That being said Randolph is a thug at times, and Q-Rich does need to shut up.......but I think they merely echoed the sentiments of many players in the league (and fans).

^^Well I still say to QRich, back it up with some decent play for once, and see a shrink for his issues with Paul Pierce...

Interestingly enough, KG's hometown in SC was right next to where I lived the last couple of years...he had a lot of fans down there!

You ever notice how much bleep Richardson speaks and half the time you can't make heads nor tails of what exactly he's talking about?

Watch this clip...

But, yeah... I don't understand his constant beef with the Celtics whenever the teams meet and toward Pierce in particular. Am I wrong, but didn't Ainge try to sign him (or expressed an interest...) before he'd signed with New York? Anyone remember that...?

This is a typical knee jerk reaction folks have against successful people... the more successful you get... the more criticism you hear...

Having said that... practically every team in the NBA does trash talking... and trash talking has been done for a long time... I remember LB being one of the biggest trash talkers back in the 80s...

I'm not sure what exactly is your point... are you saying that because the Celtics won the championship... they are no longer allowed to trash talk back?

So what you are saying is that Zach Randolph is a hater.

He has had all of the same opportunities as Garnett, even more because frankly he has lead a p.o.s. life and should be in prison but his ability to play basketball, on one end of floor, has allowed him to avoid that fate. His solution is 'f all this that has kept me out of prison because I could shoot you if we weren't on this court.' Brilliant especially since the guy he was getting into it with was Leon Powe, who has had a much harder life than Randolph and became a man out of it, and frankly I imagine would fold Zack up in a fist fight, but I am sure Zach doesn't role that way.

As for Richardson I don't know why he is talking and more importantly why anyone is listening. He has been perhaps the most over hyped loser in all of basketball since he was the next big thing at DePaul and started losing more than he won and it has been the same sans PHX who loved him so much they gave him to the Knicks. Instead of talking beat someone at something, talk talk talk.'

Talk about a Golden Spoon if it wasn't for Garnett these two would have actually had to go to college for more than a year and proved themselves and actually done something on a basketball court before getting handed tens of millions of dollars. Screw the jealousy they should be thanking the lord for Kevin Garnett.

Haters.

Sully, honestly I could care less who would win in a fight. I could care less about Zach Randolph, the guy is indeed a P.O.S. All I'm saying is he is echoing the sentiments many fans (and obviously players) have discussed.

It's the same reason Chris Childs' popped Kobe in the jaw many years ago.......he called his street-thug bluff. Speaking of which, Garnett and Kobe are very very similar. If Kobe suddenly started channeling Tupac in his interviews like Garnett over the past few years I'm sure there would be a lot of eyebrows raised in Boston. It's more than ridiculous considering the past 20 years of their lives.

I disagree with that completely. Garnett is who he is and always has been, he does not hide from his past and it was a little bit more difficult than you seem to understand. He was forced to leave South Carolina over a racial fight in his H.S and went to CHI were he picked up a lot of the attitude he plays with. To be honest we don't get the Tupac KG we get the Phil Collins/Family Guy KG so I don't really know what you are talking about. He says some crazy **** on and off the court and frankly so does Shaq and a lot of other guys.

I have no idea what Kobe getting popped, who obviously has tried to embrace an image contrary to growing up in Europe, by supposed religious zealot has to do with KG or any other Boston Celtic. If anything KG's reputation is that a lot of his teamates end up on the wrong end of his fist in practice not the other way around.

What I would be saying is if I was a fan of the Knicks is why are they talking **** when they are getting their asses outplayed by Malik Rose and getting rubbed by Boston without KG, and why are fans talking about this if we have a half a billion dollars of players on our roster our coach won't use. But that is just me.

Let me also throw in KG wasn't in the arena.

I'm convinced that one of these scenarios has happened:

a) Paul Pierce turned Q-rich down when he asked for his autograph.
b) Paul Pierce slept with Q-rich's mom

Seriously, we all know Q-Rich and Pierce dislike each other. Q always opens his mouth whenever he runs into the Cs. Even when he was with Phoenix. Anyone know the real reason for it?

Strangely enough, PP and Q-Rich are cool off the court and have worked out together in the offseason. They are just two physical players who try to get into eachothers heads during the game.

Im pretty sure Q-Rich and Randolph were talking about Powe and House who were talking alot of trash during the game.

But seriously, this is exactly along the lines of what I posted earlier in this thread...QRich has this weird inferiority complex/unrequited man-crush issue with Pierce...it borders on pathological...

Pierce said it himself a few years ago that they are cool and work out together, it suprised me too. Whatever happens with them is strictly an oncourt thing, Q-Rich seems to resent PP dominating him all the time.

And even though im a Celts fans its pretty clear House does indeed talk alot of trash, i dont think Randolph or Q came out and were good about it and came off as fake tough guys, if they were really so tough i dont think refs would stop them.

I'm sure there was a lot of trash talking, and none of us know exactly what was said. but here's the bottom line: AFTER the game, the C's responded with a LOT more class than the Knicks. Qrich and Zbo came off as bitter wannabe thugs. Pierce and Perk's comments showed a lot more maturity. We won't ever know what was really said on court, but the fact is the C's didn't go making veiled personal threats in the media afterwards.

I do remember Paul kind of mocking the hole two fists to the forehead thing one night at the FT line maybe when Q was in PHX and ever since then it has sort of been this on going war of words. Dantoni hates Paul as well. No sense of humor.

I'd love to have the chance to be dumped by Brandy. She was hot. What she's up to these days?

Yeah, that was right around the time we re-acquired Antoine in '05 and went on our first string of games before returning home for his big re-introduction (and Big Al gave him back the #8). During the waning minutes of the game (after it was well out of reach for Phoenix), Pierce was sent to the FT line and did the fist bump/forehead thing to mock Quentin. I distinctly remember D'antoni getting himself ejected while Paul was doing it.

Of course, the irony in this whole situation is the Knick forum overreacting to the whole thing. They've already started an 9-page thread dedicated solely to this topic, channeling their inner Chuck Swirskys and tossing around the "classless" tag. The fact that this word is being bandied about a single season after the most pathetic display of immaturity and ineptitude for a collective franchise in NBA history is lost on most of their posters.

And I haven't even mentioned the yapping, instigating, jumping-on-teammates-in-the-shower-for-owed-money lapdog that is Nate Robinson yet. How Leon Powe of all people becomes the recipient of their collective wrath is hilarious.

Randolph said we can't talk trash because we ain't done nothing. Excuse me, that's you dude.

Pretty pathetic display of character after a 5 for 15 shooting night, a -16 (+/-), and another loss.

Q was 3 for 10 as well. But it's not their fault you see, it's the Celtics, they talk too much trash.
