We achieved the ultimate goal last year and we only had to wait 22 years to attain it. 1986-2008.
I realize these topics have been touched upon before but let's revisit them wholelistically as a GM.
This is realgm.com
As Danny himself or the confidant wispering in his ear what would your calls be.

*We have expiring contracts we can either aloow to expire, move or resign:
Sam Cassell $ 1,262,275-Sam will be an assist coach soon, but could be valuable trade asset now
Leon Powe $ 0,797,581-He is top priority resign 4 us. L-Train deserves a 3-4year/$4-5 million salary
Glen Davis $ 0,711,517- Baby I love but could be expendable because of Powe and valuable as a trade asset
Bill Walker $ 0,542,114- Hasn't played regular season games yet so I'm unsure and open.
*There are veteran free agent big men who could help this team repeat now:
All three are role models and leaders, who can all contribute on and off the floor as backups.
1)PJ Brown -PJ is my number one because of the obvious continuity and connection with us.
2)Alonzo Mourning-Mourning is a warrior who I see Perkins becoming and who could play next year.
3)Deke Mutumbo- I once believed he was washed up but Yao going down last year proved me wrong. He could start or play 5 minutes a game and thrive with this team.
Looking at our $73,270,571 salary total for next year and our $44,703,729 for 2010-11 what would you engineer as GM or what would be your advice to Danny as a top advocate with influence.
We are a still one of the top teams in the league if not the best but if you were looking at our franchise this year and next what would you advocate as far as transactions: resignings, waivings/buyouts, and/or trades.
I don't see moves as necessary to repeat but my call would be to resign Powe this year before the deadline, cut/buyout sam cassell before the deadline allowing him to become an assist coach and sign any of the backup big three of PJ/Alonzo/Mutumbo. Trades I believe should wait til next year, however, any solid trade would be welcome. I just don't see any team trading with us to improve our team. Why would they?
Real GM Celtics, give me your vision to creating champions this year and next, even if it is do NIENTE! If you believe we should stay pat say so!
Todd Day is not walking through that door people, Dee Brown is not walking through that door people, OK, Pervis Ellison is not walking through that door!
