NET PER is your PER minus the PER of the man that you are guarding.
+10.8 Ray Allen (Unbelieveable, he is obviously playing great D)
+09.6 Kevin Garnett (lowest since 1997)
+09.6 Tony Allen (probably Celtics best man to man Defender)
+06.2 Paul Pierce
+02.8 Leon Powe
+01.4 Rajon Rondo
-00.9 Eddie House (imagine if his shots were falling, still not too bad)
-04.0 Kendrick Perkins (the man in the middle)
-09.3 Brian Scalabrine
-11.0 Patrick O'Bryant (could possibly take Davis' spot sooner than later)
-12.0 Glen Davis
-20.8 Gabe Pruitt (shoots way too much for someone who bricks)
-42.0 Bill Walker

Ooof on Walker. SSS, but that is still ugly. The Allen men seem to be carrying the team this year, if you believe in Net PER. More validation that Powe is developing into a low-post stud who we should try to re-sign so he doesn't go somewhere else and start putting in 17-18 and 9-10 given full starters minutes.

There are some really tall, and some really quick, bigs that Leon just isn't effective against.
He is the best backup power forward in the Eastern Conference,
but as a starter, well, he fouls a lot, and doesn't face the first string guys as much as KG does.
Rajon Rondo gets most of his minutes against the starter,
whereas Eddie gets most of his against the backup PG.
So, even though their NET PER's are not that far apart,
Rajon is way better.
