Kevin Garnett

Post#1 » by SOA209 » Sun Nov 30, 2008 6:26 am

Hi guys,

first time poster, actually a knick fan. I happen to have KG on my fantasy basketball roster, and I am really disappointed in his production. Is this going to be reflective of the rest of his season?

thanks.

Pretty much. He is playing only about 32 minutes a game. Our bench has also stepped up so we are a deep team at the moment. I look for about 16-17 points and 8-9 rebs from KG all season.

his 32 mpg is even deceiving coz in most games he doesn't even reach 30minutes when we're mostly leading already. he's being prepared for the long run. stats don't matter to him anymore. see duncan.

The C's in general are a tough team for consistent fantasy production because they don't really ride any one player, they play within the offense and exploit match-ups and tend to look for the best shot regardless of who is on the floor. Some times the hot hand will be deferred to, as with Ray Allen of late, but it's highly unlikely anyone will average 20 points a game on this team. The big 3 get over valued in early rounds because they all have the potential to rack it up, some of the best Celtic values in a fantasy draft can be found in the late rounds in Rondo (steals, assists) and Perk (blocks, rebounds).

QFT

This sums it up pretty good. Also, our players don't really care about their numbers, only # 18.

This is why I passed KG for Dirk. it's not real life, so it's ok.

This is vintage Celtics winning basketball...none of the players are among the league leaders in scoring, but they win handily!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
