Ray Allen (21pts. (8-13 FG, 2-2 FT), 2 Reb, 1 assist) - he shut down Reddick & Lee (BIg deal)

Kendrick Perkins (8 pts. (4-7 FG), 13 Reb, 1 steal, 1 block, 2 TO, 5 Fouls)

Eddie House (11 pts. (4-5 FG, 1-1 FT), 3 Reb, 1 steal, 1 TO, 1 Foul)

I voted Rondo...but only saw the highlights and have gon eon box scores. How did the close Howard down? I had a theory that Davis woul dbe able to push him out from under the basket and make him shot longer shots????close? or not?

Pierce. After a few off games he finally played well in the second half.

BTW, what is wrong with him? He can barely speak and it has been like this for probably over two weeks now...

I had to go with Pierce. Thought he was the main reason for the team pulling away in the second half.

Rondo....he was the engine that made the C's go last night...

Seriously, how does Ray have NO VOTES and Perk has some?

Did you watch the game? Perk went one on one with Dwight Howard and held him to 14 points on 5 of 12 shooting. Though the lack of a pg may have played into it Perk manned up and he needs the love because the refs are hating.

That was the game.

Rondo played well as did Ray Allen but it was a rotation of Anthony Johnson, Reddick, and Courtney Lee guarding them. I thought Pierce and KG struggled with the mismatches of Lewis and Turkoglu defensively. Though they let Lewis get away with a lot of pushing and shoving. Props to the MVPP for ripping their hearts out in the second half.

I am the one who voted Perkules. Sully summed up my position on the matter quite succinctly.

If Dwight Howard is regarded as one of the best big men in the game, how is it that Perkins outplayed him? And it would have been much more in Perkins favor if Stern's Paper Tiger wasn't getting bulljive calls, as well.

Watch how often Paper Tiger uses two hands in the back to play post defense. Watch how he swings elbows or undercuts or the moving picks and offensive fouls. If Perkins gets away with even some of that stuff, he becomes a "star" too. Sure, Howard has loads more athleticism but Perkins is a smarter, more skilled player.

Kendrick Perkins is one of the top centers in this league. When considering work ethic, demeanor, price tag and age, I wouldn't want any other center on my team. Perkins controlled the post, at both ends, allowing the team to win.

Viva la Perk!

You can throw a dart on this one. All of the starting five were equally responsible for the win.

Rondo for me, Pierce with a close second.

Would love to give it to Paul and Rondo, but Paul was on for a quarter while Rondo was the straw that stirred the drink. Rondo FTW.

WoW! You guys throw three big men at Dwight and immediatly say Perkins outplays Dwight! Man 8 pts 13 rebounds. I dont wanna see Perkins on a bad night. You Boston fans are Rediculous! You played great team defense with timely shooting thats how you guys won. Its amazing if you guys had Dwight on your squad you would proclaim him the second comming of Russel. Oh and not to make excuses we did have two starters out plus our sixth man. But again we played like crap plain and simple.

Not to make excuses...and then you go on to make THREE....

And 8 and 13 is pretty good to hold Howard to considering he's averaging 21 and 13, wouldn't you think? Who gives a **** if we used team D or not, the fact is we shut him down and won. Go back to your own board if you don't like the discussion here, dude...this *is* a CELTICS BOARD!

Perk is definitely one of the most underrated players in the league, and definitely one of the most disrespected by the officials. No wonder why he's so pissed off all the time on the court.

LMAO @ you.

Kendrick Perkins played every single one of his minutes (save for 34 seconds) verse Dwight Howard. Dwight Howard played some of his minutes matched up against a player not named Kendrick Perkins (most notably, Glen Davis.)

In the 28:13 that they faced off, Dwight Howard went for 10 points and 10 rebounds against Kendrick Perkins. Perkins himself went for 8 points and 13 rebounds (on less opportunities.) Perkins was also getting absolutely screwed by the referees. Straight up, he makes Howard his B-Girl.

The Paper Tiger is just not a very good basketball player. Yes, he can jump very high and he can get very physical. Great for him. Perkins doesn't jump as high. Perkins is a given a very short leash by officials. Perkins was beating Howard at his own game and Stern's lackeys didn't like it. Solution: Whistles against Beast Boy 3000 so one of Stern's "fake" stars can do better.

I am glad that you have passion, BoricuaBoi. That's a good thing. I am sorry that your judgment of Dwight Howard's game is what it is. As I said before, if you give Perkins even some of the calls that Howard gets on a consistent basis and allow him to defend with two hands in the back in the low post like the league allows Howard to do, Kendrick Perkins would be a star too.

Dwight Howard is just not very good-- even with help from the Uncle Davids, Violet Palmers and Dick Bavettas.

Check this out:
Image

Dwight Howard's NBA Picture (Notice the elbow above the shoulders? Another sign they clearly prop the fake stars of league.)

Seriously, just look at the things Dwight Howard is allowed to get away with ...

Image
(And you can see the closest referee, hands at his side, ignoring the offensive foul. He was called for the offensive foul-- but not by that ref.)

Image
(Amazingly, this was a foul on Count Pachulia --- who's left hand is close to his body and who is leaning backwards to avoid contact.)

Image
(Stern fast-tracked Howard by making sure he got the calls early in his career.)

Image
(I don't care what people do in the privacy of their own bedroom but when I am at a basketball game, this is the last thing I want to see.)
