Victory Cigar - Celtics/Pacers 12/3/2008

Post#1 » by Jammer » Thu Dec 4, 2008 3:08 am

Normally, this would be hands down Garnett.

Except Garnett's 11-14 FG's were due to Rajon Rondo, so I give the nod to Rondo over KG.

Sadly, Ray Allen, who scored 31 points on 18 shots, comes in third for me,
despite seeming like superman. KG did have 14 boards and 4 blocks.

The entire game was run by Rondo. It's gotta be him. Amazing games by KG and Ray, too.

Ray & KG played great but rondo deserves this one with that nice triple double he got. Rondo did it all tonight

It's funny that KG, Perk, and Ray all had games that easily would have won them victory cigars in separate games, but Rondo is gonna dominate this vote because he was so good.

KG if counting both offence and defence, but Rondo's triple double was amazing, point for him tonight.
Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

I thought R.Rondo has done a good job running the team from day one, but it's really nice seeing him getting the recognition, which comes easier when you make the statsheet look nice.

Let me just say Ray has been shooting the ball great the past few games, nice to see him shake out of the early slump.

That being said, this game it's Rondo easily.

Rondo.

Only the third player (Magic, Fat Lever) since '86 to go for 16/13/17.

As Mike Gorman pointed out, Rondo did something tonight only matched by Paul Pierce and Larry Bird in the Celtics' past.

He would'a had an extra three points too if that one foul early in the game on his prayer jumpshot was correctly called a shooting foul + a continuation.
