The Portland Blazers kind of stumbled out of the gate at the beginning of the season but are now looking really good.

Hopefully Rondo will continue to impress. I noticed that the Celtics lead the league in technicals... heck, Sam isn't even safe on the bench these days...

I liked Perkins better when he used to be a mutterer... now he tends to speak his mind out loud... and I'm betting the last quarter in my pocket that the refs don't care much about what he has to say... (sigh)

i really like Rudy, the Spaniard who dunked on paper tiger during the olympics, great off the bench, can shoot 3s, gotta watch him ....

ps: read the Oregonian(?) article where roy is "wanting" us? lol

It's the young vs. the old. When Portland is on their game, they are very tough. We have many players who are shooting over 40% from 3pt range. And Brandon Roy is emerging as one of the elite players in the league this year. We're 14-6 (translate that into "Eastern Conferanceeze"), and that includes 13 road games and only 7 home games. (and a very tough schedule). And even though some of you may not realize it yet, but Brandon will be the best player on the court when these teams face each other.

Oden and Pryzbilla are both great rebounders and shotblockers, and put together, are putting up monster numbers.

They may come out and lay an egg, but if they come out sharp, look out, because they can beat Boston. So don't get too cocky Celtics fans, this probably will not be an easy game for you. If we don't get you in Boston, we'll get you when you come to Portland...maybe we'll get both.

Boston has been blowing out everyone.. you guys are on a roll, and probably will kill us bad if you shut Roy down. Still, I hope it's a good game for both sides, and everyone stays healthy. I hope Ray Allen doesn't shoot daggers against us again though

Batum looks kinda (Please Use More Appropriate Word) in that picture. Anyways, this is gonna be a good game. I don't see how we can loose, I don't think they can stop any of the Big Three.

Looking forward to a good game. Not sure I wanna go as far as Sinobas did with his post, but I'll agree with dreamcloud. Good luck guys!

If you read the article, then you understand why Roy wants to play Boston. He's obviously see's Boston as one of the best teams in the league and he wants to gauge himself as a player and the Blazers as a team and see just how good they really are. I would think Boston fans would take that as a compliment rather than ridicule the guy.

I like your optimism. But you will have to wait a few years for your guys to grow up before you can expect miracles from them. Sure, Roy is a great player but when he comes to Boston he will be the 4th best player on the floor.

Can`t wait to see Rudy again. Loved him in Europe! And Batum! And Sergio! I really have a soft spot for all the Europeans...

Aggressive Rondo is key to our game! If he plays like he has in the past few games we should be dominant again!

He said that because he wants to play the best team. He knows Boston is the best team. In order to be the best you have to beat the best. The only way to do that is to play the best and that is the Boston Celtics. This is the mark of a good leader, he wants to see where the Blazers are as a team. Celtics are great team and we need to see where we are as a team. I hope this turns out to be a good game regardless of who wins.

A win here and we extend our winning streak to 11 games which would be the longest winning streak in the big 3 era.

Argh! My band has a show tonight and I'm gonna miss this game!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I really want to see Perkins versus Oden, and any opportunity to see Brandon Roy is great. I really like this Blazers team--likable bunch of very talented young players. They started to come together last year, which was fun to watch. Aldridge, Blake, Pryzbilla, all those guys are good players. And Batum looks good.

The Blazers are my sleeper team in the Western Conference. I'm a big Brandon Roy-Oden guy and there are lot's of other solid, solid role players around them. If Rondo get's in the paint and out in transition like he has been lately it's a rap for the Blazers, Boston's offense is simply too potent with Rondo really leading the charge. I expect a close game with lots of interesting, juicy matchups.

And you can talk all about your Roy being better than Ray on the Portland board.
