Jannero Pargo

Post#1 » by campybatman » Fri Dec 12, 2008 4:19 am

He'll be a free agent by next off season.

I'm uncertain of how New York could land him from Dynamo Moscow before then. Unless it's saying he could be an option for them after this season.

The Knicks could be interested in Jannero Pargo or Carlos Delfino, both of whom are currently playing in Russia. The team could also explore trades involving Sacramento's Quincy Douby or Portland's Sergio Rodriguez.

Patrick Ewing Jr. has officially has signed with the D-League and seems to be in the Knicks' short-term plans. But the team's more immediate need is at guard and Ewing Jr. most likely will take the roster spot that will open when Stephon Marbury is bought out and released.

Guard Jannero Pargo signed a one-year contract with the Russian club Dynamo Moscow. Sources say the deal will be worth $3.5 million after Russian taxes have been paid. At the conclusion of the deal, Pargo, now 28, will be free to sign in the NBA or anywhere else.

Well, a lot of rich businessmen in Russia are having a problem with cashflow, so they may be open to just letting him get a buyout, especially if he is not playing too great.

Here's his averages... Not bad... But, he isn't worth $3.5M. Perhaps, he's worth half of the MLE instead. And Rondo's making $1.6M this season.
