There is no doubt LA has probably the 2nd best player in the NBA, but their center and point guard position aren't that good and their bench is unable to defend a preschooler. Orlando's two strongest positions on the other hand are center and point guard while shooting guard is their worst.

After watching the game last night, Orlando even without a bench, are a little more potent than LA.
I think LA is reverting to their past ways of having the ball in KB hands too much and everyone else stands around. And Kobe is not passing it as much.

Maybe at the beginning of the year the Lakers were tough defensively (I wouldn't know, I didn't watch them and that's what the majority were saying) but now they are back to old ways. Kobe scoring 40, forgetting he has teammates, not D'ing up because it's not their nature to do so, players complaining about playing time, Bynum not being Jabbar like he was last year

Anyone else notice how much rest LAL kept getting in between games, with the majority of their games being at home? It was like the NBA gave them that schedule so they'd beat the Bulls record, now they've had 2 straight road games on a back to back-and lost both.

Cleveland would scare me a LOT more than the Lakers in a 7 game series right now. And to answer the OPs question, right now I do think Orlando is better than the LA Lakers. Part of the reason is Orlando gets it done on the road, while the Lakers don't.

WOW...................back to our old ways ? I got some respect for some guys here so I won't even go into no piss fest about what you guys claim to know about my team. Won't matter anyway considering what most of you say about them. For most of you it's like it's the law just because you say it, but what ever I'm good with it.

the only lakers threads that should ever be posted on this board should be when the lakers are being compared with the celts. the magic are not as good as the lakers.

I'm not sure I'd say the Magic are better than the Lakers just yet, but this season, they've proven that they're at an elite level. Teams typically go cold during an NBA season and while the Lakers have clearly not been up to par with their expectations as of late, I'm not ready to discount them just yet. The Magic are definitely one of the top tier teams in the NBA, but I'm not so sure one game involving a hot Magic team and a cold Laker team can really determine which team is better.

I never talked about any poster or disrespected anyone, I only quoted LSD because it's a topic that's open for debate. All I'm saying is myself personally isn't taking the topic to heart like most would.

The Laker's aren't playing their best ball right now and they've still only lost 5 games, I'm not ready to write them off quite yet. It's a long season, I have no doubt at some point in the season the C's will hit a bump or two also, it won't mean that we're suddenly not a top tier team, it'll just mean that it's not always as easy as the C's make it look out there. The C's are at the top, the Lakers and Cavs are close, and the Magic is definitely near the top of the next tier of teams and shouldn't be taken lightly, but I don't think they've done anything to prove they are better than the Laker's yet. One game does not a season make.

I really wish Laker fans who have nothing else to offer but insults and criticizing someone's grammar or usage would just stay the hell a way. I am locking this and unless the thread is directly related to the Celtics, I will be locking all Laker threads. Some come here in peace, but it is obvious, it is few.
