OT: Yi Jianlian... worst All-Star ever?

I'm not saying he's a bad player... but he's definitely not an all-star, and it's looking like he'll be on this year... have there ever been any All-Stars as bad as Yi? Once again, not saying he's a bad player.. just not an all-star.

According to his stats he is a bad player. He is shooting 39 % for a big man, that is a bad player. It would be hilarious if Yi gets voted in instead of Garnett, would force Stern to change this stupid system.

Hopefully he gets voted on because I see no reason why KG should play in a meaningless game. He could use the rest.

This will become a bigtime controversy if he gets voted on,probably resulting in World War 3.

Honestly, it's a joke. If he does make it, they should let him start but immediately take a time out and bench him for the rest of the game.

We need to get some crazy nationalistic media guy like Bill O'Reilly in on this- they should weight AMERICAN votes! China can have their own basketball; let's boycott Chinese food; etc.

I hope he gets in over KG too. I'd much rather have KG sitting at home, getting some rest during All-Star Weekend.

The only way he gets in is if he beats out KG for that other forward spot.. And even though its close right now I have a feeling the NBA will cook the votes to make sure KG gets the spot he deserves.. Its funny how he's beating guys like Bosh and Pierce in votes though..

On the other hand though, the NBA might feel like its to their advantage if Yi is in the game, with the game becoming more popular in China.. So who knows..

Starks made the all-star team once, he was pretty bad. Magic also made the team without playing a single game that season (I think... I may not be remembering correctly). Although everyone wanted to watch Magic and no one wants to watch Yi, that is still probably worse.

Also, hasn't Vince Carter gotten in a couple times while barely playing in the first half of the season? Yao getting in as the starter over prime Shaq was as much of a charade as this.

Long story short - Although Yi getting in as a starter is an outrageous joke, this sort of thing happens all the time and nothing ever changes.

Ainge was high on Yi. He showed more potential early on in the season, but hasn't played too well lately. Please vote for Garnett. Garnett will likely make it in anyways, but Yi stands little chance unless he is voted in.

All the startes are voted in. Yi is Chinese. China has the most people on earth. Yi will be voted in to the all star game unless the NBA disallowes the votes.

Yi should not have even been on the ballet. If Yi is voted in, the NBA needs to change how players are voted in. Maybe they should only count votes from fans that attend the games. No more online voting.
