Walker, 32, who reportedly walked away with about 95 percent of his $9.3-million salary, used to hand over his travel per diem - a little more than $100 per day on the road - to Grizzlies interns. "What do I need this for?" Walker said when he was handed the cash at the start of the first trip of the season. Walker did not play in a single game this season for Memphis. Walker, who won a ring with Miami in 2006, still is considered a good shooter but one of the worst-conditioned players in the NBA (and that includes comparisons to Eddy Curry, Sean May and Brad Miller). He said he hopes to sign with another NBA team this season. Interns around the NBA are campaigning for him. Newsday
Hey, Brian: Any chance that the Cavs will take a look at Antoine Walker now that he's unemployed? He may have lost a step or two, but he's an experienced big man we can get on the cheap. -- Tyrone Manhoff, North Olmsted Hey, Tyrone: I'd say less than a 1 percent chance. Walker isn't a classic big man, has not done well with limited roles the last couple seasons and there is question around the league about his physical shape. Cleveland Plain Dealer
Maybe Danny is giving him time to get in so shape....

ahhh a Wiggle lover can dream

If he started now, what's the over/under on him accomplishing that before Ainge retires? (sic)
Seriously though, has there been a single comment by a Celtics player, or a rumor from the "un-named source", or comments from management, about Walker?
Ainge is doing the same thing he did last year, letting lesser options pass by while looking for a major upgrade. Brown and Cassell were probably the two best free rentals last year, he watched lots of lesser talent go by before grabbing them. I'm not expecting anything different from him this year.

It's a longshot........the over/under
Not a single comment.....even from Pierce. Too quiet....the Press to my knowledge hasn't even asked.

Thanks for getting my hopes ups Kefa.

I'm hoping he'll be in green soon. I think the being out of shape stuff is totally blown out of proportion. Everytime I've seen him he's been in good shape.

Have you seen Antoine play the last 5 years. Scalabrine has more of a vertical lift than Antoine, and I'm not joking.

I've see him play a few times since he was traded away from the C's. He was a vital part of the Miami Heat's title team. His last 2 teams Minny and Memphis are just wrong teams for him because they are in rebuilding processes.

Who's better? Walker or Scalabrine? All I know is Walker would beat Scal with an easy 1-2-3 in a WWE match.

Big Baby looks like he'd be a good wrestler. He could come to the ring with a bonnet and diaper on sucking on a pacifier. His moves could be the splish splash and nighty night sleeper.

Well, if Ainge looks to upgrade via trade, there's a good chance Scal and Baby would be involved, along with Tony Allen if it's to land a better wing option off the bench. Would I bring in Antoine to replace Scal/Baby? Absolutely. Why not? Same players, basically.
Also, I don't attribute Antoine's poor lift to bad conditioning, but more the fact that his knees are simply shot. But I wouldn't mind him as the last rotation guy off the bench for a couple months.

Maybe we should have a sticky for all the Antoine talk so there doesn't have to be a new thread every day
perhaps entitled "Wet dreams of wiggle"?
