I am not a big fan of trade speculation, but this strikes me as possibly a good move for both teams. The Nets clear a ton of cap space for the 2010 free agent class -- Carter's deal runs through 2012 -- and the Cs get what looks to me like a possible upgrade. Carter is having a very good year and looks to be still in his prime.

Wow, Ray has one bad game and we start talking about trading him. Where is the Trade KG thread cause he got his ass handed to him as Gasol in the 4th quarter, got abused by Wilson Chandler, and didn't show up against G.S. All in the last 10 days.

Let's also not forget to trade Rondo too because he is playing like **** over the last few weeks.

I might be going out on a limb, but I'm willing to bet that none of the starting five will be traded.

Ray isn't very good by the standard he's compared to. He's very soft, doesn't play good defense, has well below average handles, and isn't the best of passers.

And Vince has the ability to be better. But not for this team. This trade wouldn't help the Celts very much. Although that's assuming Vince remains playing with a lack of effort.

Ray Allen is not soft. You need to adjust the way you watch basketball if you think so.

He goes to the hoop and finishes very well, arguably one of the best on our team at doing this. He doesn't shy away from contact on offense or defense. In fact, he finishes with and 1's as often as anyone.

His game is smooth and not overly powerful, so it makes him look soft. he is by no means soft. He's a much better defender than Vince, just ask Kobe Bryant. he moves without the ball, unlike vince as well.

wow, how can you say ray allen is soft and then advocate trading for "wince" carter who commonly fakes injuries and fades away on his jumpers even when he's open.

No. I don't want to see Ray Allen traded for Vince Carter.

Unless we're getting Mike Miller or Kyle Korver back too I'm all set.

I say no to this proposed deal.

ray allen is soft, stop the BS, hes smooth yea, ok hes still soft

Ray allen is not a good driver and does not finish that good, i see him miss wide open layups alot , TA is a better driver then ray allen but he sucks at finishing even worse.

Of all the free agents that are available next year, I can't see why anyone would want to focus on trading for Wince.

I don't think there's any reason to break up the big 3 yet. But i'd make this trade everyday of the week.

I'd say no to this trade 10 times out of 10. I don't get the Ray hate.

Isn't Ainge on record saying he would have traded McHale? I don't think it will happen this season, but I wouldn't say never either.

Ray is playing better then PP (most of the time) this season. Maybe we should we trade PP for Carter instead?
