Davis isn't being benched have you watched the games he is the only guy left on the team that plays defense.

Surprised they brought them both back.....I wonder what kind of shuffling they plan on doing with this roster.

Regardless im excited to see if these guys get some minutes, I feel like at least one of them can make a difference if Doc actually lets them play.

Do the Celtics have any unguaranteed contracts? My understanding is that if any team is going to release players on unguaranteed, they need to be done very shortly.

Though Davis probably leads the team in provoking and1's (from the other team) he had some really strong play against Houston last night.

Maybe trying to see which one of these two players will help the team out. The better one stays the other one gets traded away or waived.

In the other thread on this topic, someone said they listened to Danny on the radio and he said that they were being called up to get some rest and some medical attention.

Giddens has had an injured wrist and Walker tweaked his knee in his last game in Utah. It didn't sound like they were very healthy and would be getting a lot of minutes for the C's, anytime soon.

Walker may get some time at sf and Giddens may take some of TA's time at the 2 guard. I would give Gabe more time as back up pg and let House and TA fight for the leftovers. Davis, unless he is traded is not losing minutes with this.

EHouse is pretty good at that as well...lol...Usually on a fastbreak...Either foul him harder by grabbing his arms, or let him go...That's my rule...

Eddie tries he's just not very strong.

Guys just power through what ever contact he creates.

Big Baby just gives up horrible fouls on shots he doesn't have a shot at.
Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

Big Baby just isn't good enough to fill the role that this team needs filled. Regardless of effort, character and occasional good plays.... the guy lacks the tools to get the job done. I would rather have an undisciplined selfish player like Antoine Walker (for example) than a guy who lacks the necessary tools to do the job like Big Baby or Scal. We definitely need somebody to back up Perk and KG who brings something to the table the way that Posey did last year. An undersized player who at least adds an outside dimension to the team like Posey creates positive situations. Having Baby who can't guard quicker big men and gets outsized and outquicked by just about everybody he guards is not going to get us #18.

I like Powe in a slightly diminished role but we need somebody else to replace what PJ and Posey brought last year to the PF spot. Tony Allen as backup SF is not as good as Posey but is at least passable.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I think replacing Davis' minutes at center with a face-up big is enough...Powe can still play down low and post up PF's - many of which are not accustom to playing down low....a face-up big like Smith would keep the help defender off of Powe on his move to the basket and would help space out the defense to help him move more effectively off ball....

The team still needs Pruitt or Rondo or Player X dribble penetration to really get easy baskets with this unit, but a face-up big would do wonders for freeing up Powe to operate - though he also needs to start using some of his other moves - counter spin, rolling hook, turn-around J, mini-fade J, step through, etc....he's gotten too used to his power move to the middle looking for contact, but reviewing his past performance from last year and this pre-season, he's got more moves - I think he's out of sync but I expect a strong second half if the team addresses the true issues on the 2nd unit...
