Danny Ainge May Becoming Delusioal

Like I said after the G.S. loss, the window has closed for the Big 3. They are not close to being the players they were 3-4 years ago. They nearly got outscored tonight by Lebron, combined. We have become one of the worst teams in the last few weeks, going 2-7.
Let me clear up what I'm saying. The Big 3's window has closed as far as being dominant players. They no longer are. They can't do it without help. It doesn't mean that our chances of winning a title has closed. But
without adding pieces, it's all over. And to top it all off, Ainge is becoming delusional like some Celtic fans here.Here is what Ainge said recently: "I'm not panicking;
they're still that same team that won the championship. feel no different about the team now than I did three weeks ago."
http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... in_boston/Is Danny Ainge **** serious or has he lost it? There is no way that without Posey and P.J. Brown that we are the same team as last year. What is it going to take, another 2-7 stretch where is actually tries to do something?
I just hope he was **** around with the media because he doesn't want people to think what he is trying to do. I hope Ainge can make some moves soon. I still want the Big 3 together, they just need help.

ainge is not delusional
its almost guaranteed that the celtics will add one bigman and at least 1 pg to this roster.
most likely marbury will come sometime in late february.
this team will be fine, the next ten games or so i expect them to go 9-1

Yes we do need help but the Big Three are still as good as ever. Look at this game, KG and Paul didn't shoot free throws until the 3rd. KG Did not go to the post at all! Rondo has to shoot the ball when open, how many times is he going to attack the rim, get right in front of it and then turn around mid air and pass it off for a 10 jumper?
We need to get Ray some looks and work on our fundementals. D, ball movement, D, O goes inside then out

This is B.S.
The starters just look tired because of the awful schedule and lack of a bench. And Danny is not looking panicked because he's intelligent. He's not going to come out and say we're desperate please somebody make a trade with us.

So two weeks ago they were not too old and door was not closed? Come on they are having a rough stretch.

The problem is our bench not the big three.
PP is 31 years old, he is in his prime and can dominate any game...But if you have nothing off the bench it is hard to do so if you have to play 40+ minutes and bail the bench out every time...

Losing 7 of 9 much deeper than a rough stretch. This team has been exposed and everybody from the worse team in the NBA to the best team in the NBA has figured the Celtics out.
Perhaps after the Celtics go 1-3 next week people will start to see that the window has closed and it is time to start to rebuild again.

Start to rebuild again? I really hope nobody actually believes that BS.
They will go 3-1 in their next 4 games.

Best turn around in NBA history, championship, best start in NBA history, and three weeks later it's time to rebuild?!?!?
Who is delusional?

Here is a idea I came up with. This trade can help both teams.
Curry and Starbury for KG.
Change in Team Outlook: -15.2 ppg, -8.0 rpg, and -2.6 apg.
Incoming Players
Eddy Curry
6-11 C from Thornwood (HS)
1.0 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 0.0 apg in 1.3 minutes
Stephon Marbury
6-2 PG from Georgia Tech
0.0 ppg, 0.0 rpg, 0.0 apg in 0.0 minutes
Outgoing Players
Kevin Garnett
6-11 PF from Farragut Academy (HS)
16.2 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.6 apg in 32.8 minutes
congratulations on a successful trade.
Due to Boston and New York being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Boston and New York had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Why do the knicks do this? They get rid of Marbury and all the issues that surround him and get a decent big man in KG.
Why do the celtics do this?
They get a backup PG they need, plus his contact expires which gives the Celtics some cap space.
Plus they get curry who I think can still be a solid player and is still young.

This has to be a joke! But it is not at all funny Joebiscuit! You need to let your frustration out in another way. Trying to make people mad with posting such idiocy isn`t the way to do it, IMO...

It seems as if you are a troll more than anything else.

You expect Ainge to say something different? The guy spends all his day thinking of ways to improve the team, the last thing he is going to do is tell the press that he has to do a bunch of moves. All that does is drive up the asking price.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure Danny's not delusional and he knows what he has and hasn't got. And sure, he's worried to see the inconsistency and slowing down of the Big 3. I think the plan was to be open to trading Ray next year. But they're already one bad Perk shoulder from being irrelevant this year. He hasn't got a heck of a lot in trading chips, and I bet he's already thinking of next year--while trying to bring in a couple of the reinforcements they could use at almost every position for a championship this year. He'd be a master magician to squeeze a championship team out of the cost structure of the Big 3 next year.
And he's smart enough not to blab about their woes to the press.

Ainge is doing what GMs do. Not tell the truth. As someone earlier said, Ainge would be a moron to say, "man this team right now sucks and I need to make a trade real bad before things get worse. Who want to bend me over and screw me in a trade for the NBA Champs?"
I am sure all sorts of teams would line up.

This and I'm sure if you asked Sam Presti what his goal for the Thunder would be before the season started, he'd say it was to win a championship. They have to sell something to the fans.

People are being too tough on Danny here. Most of the complaints we've heard about this team lately are similar to complaints we heard on and off throughout last season.

Now that i feel like I wasted my time reading these negatard rants, I need to ask........If everyone is so "confident that the window has closed" any reason why no one had the foresite to make this bold prediction more than 2 and a half weeeks ago ? Clearly accusations of delusions dont just pop up out of nowhere....
