I think a good trade idea

Post#1 » by Celtics>Breathing » Sat Jan 10, 2009 10:51 am

Not saying this would go down, mostly because of chemistry concerns, but hear you go:

Chris Kaman
Ricky Davis

for

Tony Allen
Big Baby
Scal
Perk (everyone loves Perk, but the shoulder, and Kaman would be an upgrade)

approved Trade ID #4917992

Not sure if Clips do this, but they gain some flexibility with the cap

Then if Marbury or Joe Smith become available hopefully we could sign them as well. Nice moves if they could be made!

This is a tough one. I'd have to decline because Kaman's contract is too long and expensive. I wouldn't mind having Camby on the C's though in a Perk-less package.

This idea I like. Skinner is a hardworker with height and Ricky can provide some offense. I don't like Ricky's D, but he's got to be better then Eddie House.

I'm not sure I'd give anything up for Davis. He would seem to be a good candidate for a buy-out. Was Davis even in their rotation when he was suspended?

WOW Ricky D didnt work last time and will not work this time, PP and Ricky Dont work well together so its not worth ticking PP off. Skinner for Baby and Scal would b nice then Starbury off Waviers we would be str8 but no way Ricky comes in and Perk goes no f'in way!

Everyone was on Ricky's jock when he was with the Celtics. So now that we're the high and mighty Celtics Ricky is garbage. Please! He would be coming of the bench on a really good team. He did that for us when we sucked, so I don't think that will be a problem. The man can score, and hustles like crazy. Is he selfish, sure, but that is what we want coming off the bench. Someone to take charge!

seriously i dont understand the hate for ricky D...hes not a great player. but come on , he would be the celtics best bench player now easily and is just making 2 mil a year now. unless you think ta is better

kapono at 6 mil for 3 years or ricky d for 2 mil

if he could be had cheap the celtics would be stupid not to get him. there is not much out there

he shot 40 % from 3 last year on 4 attempts per. better then posey last year , and better then ray allen. he would give some of what we lost in posey.( a three point threat) davis Defence isnt on par with posey clearly though. but we are missing the 3 point shooter from the small forward.

plus hes played with KG and PP and the celtics already and did quite decent

whatever though the hate is strong though for some reason
