I don't want any part of Marcus Camby or any part of making our team even more shallow than it already is.

We'd just be getting older. I like Camby, but I want perk here.

Looks like I'm in the minority here, but bye bye Perk. I love Marcus Camby and Perk's shoulder now scares the hell of me.

Perk's my fav on this team, but if this is before the season I would have though about it. Camby is really good. However, no in the middle of the season, limited free agents to replace Tony, Scal, time needed to mesh, etc. However, I'm glad it didn't happen anyway, Perk has made significant strides this season.

Sorry guys. We may like Perk and all, but Camby's production, especially the last few seasons has been undeniable. He is a complete game-changer in the paint too.
That said, I would like a remotely decent explanation for why the Clippers would ever do this. They can get A LOT more for Camby than two guys who would not play for them (Scal and TA) and a backup center (behind Kaman), and the two big contracts in the deal are not even expiring. Hell, Wally's expiring deal is better for the Clips than this.

Perkins brings toughness, rebounding, and good low post defense. Camby is the better shot blocker, rebounder, and shooter from 15 feet out but he is soft. He has trouble defending in the post, especially against stronger players. Perkins shoulder is becoming a concern, but this trade will make us soft.

Yeah, he gives up a boatload of layups after gambling looking for the block. Camby needs a low post defensive presence next to him like KG does.
