Celtics-bobcats trade

Post#1 » by Papa Irish31 » Fri Jan 16, 2009 10:02 pm

The C's desperately need player who can guard the 2 and 3 positions and hit the outside shot as well as another post, and i personally dont think that stephon brings anything to the C's but trouble

My solution is this

The C's give up Brian Scalabrine, JR Giddens, and a 2cd round pick

to the Bobcats for Raja Bell

This provides Charlotte cap relief and another young prospect that could one day flourish into a valuable trading chip/player for them

This gives the celtics another shooter and defender from the wing spot which they desperately need, but detracts from their ability to match salaries to add another big to their bench

my hope is that after they make this trade they would pick up a big off the waiver wire such as horry or alonzo mourning

It isn't are biggest need but if we can turn that into Raja Bell I am sold. Somehow I don't think LB and MJ are going to agree.

Raja Bell would be a great fit for the Celtics but I just don't know if the Celtics have the pieces to get it done, nor do I think that the Bobcats would be in any kind of a hurry to get rid of him. He's a player I'd like to see DA make a play for however.

I don't think Brown would move Bell, because he loves tough, defender types like Bell. In fact, I think he was the sole reason that J-Rich trade went down. I like the thought though. He would be an upgrade over Tony because he doesn't try to do too much on offense like Tony does. He is still over 40% on 3's this year too.

If Bell's available, there will be a team with better pieces to offer than Boston... There was a rumor of Bell and Diaw to NYK for Curry.

yeah, Raja would be great, he'd be a guy who could guard Bron. but that package doesn't get it done. i wish it would!

LMAO. trade our best player for an overpriced second fiddle and a bench player? that's beyond dumb.
