JR
When are we going to see JR ? Tommy was gushing about his quickness last night and with scal out for a while it seems there is an opportunity for JR since he can hit the 3 and shoot from outside. I'd love to see him and walker on the floor at the same time. but somehow I keep thinking that we'll never see JR play a game in a Celtic uniform and that he will be gone before his career even gets started. Speaking of JR he was styling last night with earrings and a lot of hair gel. He was dressed more for a party than a basketball game. I realize this is an unfair observation but I can't help but wonder if the kid has his priorities straight. I've felt this way since he held out of training camp and he hasn't done anything since then to change my mind. That's why I would love to see him play and prove me wrong.

Re: JR
I noticed Tommy's praise, too, though I take that with just a trace of salt. He is always raving about POB, and he even used to rave about Kandiman.
That being said, JR is a legitimate prospect, and all indications are that he is a serious professional athlete. Don't worry about his wardrobe or earrings. He is not a head case. He is like Gabe was last year: he is being redshirted this year and will have a summer to work on his game. Next year he will have a shot to get minutes, chipping away at the other back-up guards. My sense is that his career will go as far as he can become an efficient offensive player. The defense will be fine. His length and tools are first-rate.
Right now, the team can only suit up 12, and unless another player goes down, Walker has won the first alternate spot ahead of Giddens. So he probably won't play much, if at all, this season.
