Congratulations to Pierce. He's the leading scorer on the defending champs, averaging around 19ppg on about 13FGA. He's also grabbing 6rpg and dishing out about 4 assists per game.

No Ray? That's ***.
Whoever votes(coaches, right?) needs to get their head out of espns a$$, Jameer Nelson makes it and Ray Allen doesn't? That is high comedy right there.

^^ Those turned out to be false.

The west is: Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker, Brandon Roy, Shaquille O'Neal, Chauncey Billups, and David West.

The east is: Jameer Nelson, Rashard Lewis, Paul Pierce, Joe Johnson, Chris Bosh, Devin Harris, and Danny Granger.

Jameer Nelson is not All-Star worthy....

3 Magic players over 2 Celtics player???? Ray and Rajon deserves it more than them.

For me Rashad Lewis and David West the bigest surprise.

Carmelo anthony didnt make it in west, al jefferson...come on.

Also Ray Allen over Lewis.

And Cleveland is still a one man team :)) haha...just Lebron

I'm not surprised... Pierce is the second best small forward in the league, in my opinion. He deserves the nod. This could've been his eighth naming to the All-Star game if it weren't for injury and an abysmal season two seasons ago.

I want to go on record as saying that the selection of three Orlando players is complete and utter BS. Yeah, how do you spell bull(bleep)? I spell it: O...R...L...A...N...D...O!

Come on, no reserve center or forward/center?! This is rubbish.

Ray deserved to make the team. If he was going to be snubbed it should have been another big that got the spot. Not Rashard Lewis... The real problem is having AI on the team. What the hell do the fans know anyway. Kids these days. They see a midget ,who doesnt respect authority, and kills team morale and they idolize him. While a class act like Ray Allen gets snubbed.

I wonder how many coaches were watching last weeks Celtics/Magic game? If they was watching the half-time show on TNT and what Chris Weber rant on how he thought Orlando should have 3 All-stars and not the Cs because Orlando had the better record. Now after that game the Celtics and Magic were tied and the Cs are 2-0 verse the Magic. My point is this Ray Allen and Rondo should be in over Nelson. Also Devin Harris should not be in the game over Ray Allen.

If the eastern head coaches felt that by naming two more Orlando players would justify their record. Then that's a weak reason since the same logic can apply to Cleveland. But, no one else was chosen off of Cleveland's roster. In my opinion, I take these choices, Nelson and Lewis, as a result of Orlando's run prior to losing at home to Boston. They'd ignored that lost and where the Magic are in the standings now. You can either view it in one of two ways. The eastern conference head coaches truly view Cleveland as LeBron and teammates and Orlando as Howard and Nelson, Lewis and Turkoglu (winner of the Most Improved Player Of The Year last season) and teammates. Not sure I like the sound of that if I'm Maurice Williams, Delonte West and Ilgauskas. Especially, when you consider that West and Williams were playing well this season together and both are just as big of a part of Cleveland's improvement this season. Varejao might be a candidate for Most Improved Player Of The Year.

I'm not a big fan Joe Johnson repeatedly getting selected to the allstar game. He has all star talent but doesn't produce like an allstar. But AI getting on the team really screws everything up. Deavid West is a pretty absurd selection as he isn't playing nearly as well as last year.
