Anyone know if KG is doing any better? While we didn't need him against the t-wolves, we may been him against a hot Sixers team who have Brand back.

On Sunday they said he was questionable for Tuesday.
They did not mention Thursdays game. My thinking is that he could be questionable for that game as well depending on how bad he has the flu.
If the flu is bad enough it can really kick your ass and it could be a couple of weeks before you feel 100% better.

I had the flu once and it took me a solid 3 weeks before I felt 100% better. If he is so sick he cannot get out of bed I really do not expect him to play the rest of the week. This is to bad. With no Bynum and KG on Thursday the game has lost a little something.

Doc said he is definitely out for Tuesday against the Sixers but he does feel a little better today. He hopes to have him practice Wednesday and be ready for the Lakers game Thursday night.

Well, I bet he gets the best care in the world, probably being kept hydrated through IV, and a personal chef to try and get some good food into him. Life must suck at $20 mil a year. (lol) I expect he'll be back a lot faster than the rest of us would be given the support he's likely been getting.

I hope they blow out the sixers without TA & KG so JR can actually get some run.

KG = PSA
How do you decide to skip your flu shot? That's inexcusable.
No. This is irresponsible and I should hope that Garnett doesn't end up costing Boston any games now and for however long he'll be out. The Celtics bench isn't that deep as it is.
Ideally, Garnett, Scalabrine and Tony learn from this. I don't know their circumstances... So, to each their own. But, on the road against Philadelphia, at home against the Lakers and on the road against New York this week will be tough opponents. And it's nice to have your best defensive player playing.
The Flu, Your Health and the Importance of Vaccination
The flu season runs from November to April, with most cases occurring between late December and early March. About 10% to 20% of people get the flu every winter. In children, the odds are even worse, with up to 40% of children becoming clinically ill due to the influenza virus.
The best way to prevent seasonal flu is to get a flu vaccination. Hospitalization and death from flu complications pose real risks. Every year, on average, more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu complications and approximately 36,000 people die from the flu.

tony allen not getting his flu shot doesn't surprise me but Garnett does. Who knows, some guys just don't like shots. Then there's the school of thought that getting the flu shot will actually make you sick. I get one every year and haven't had the flu since I've started doing that so in my book it's a no brainer to get the flu shot. it boggles the mind that these players wouldn't get the flu shot.

I guess it's irresponsible but I know I've never had a flu shot and never had the flu as an adult. Getting a shot has always seemed like a waste of time to me. I'm probably not going to get sick, and if I do it's only a couple weeks of inconvenience.

If you have kids or live with an elderly or sick person, or are one of those people you should certainly get a flu shot. Adult males with no kids are not a target group for the vaccine.
Every year it varies but it isn't like you get your flu shot and you are protected against the flu.
