Tony's going to play.
The Celtics have not lost a game since Jan. 9, but they are struggling to fight off injuries and illness these days.

Kevin Garnett (flu) will miss his second consecutive game and Brian Scalabrine (concussion) his fourth in succession when the Celtics (40-9) go for their 12th win in a row at Philadelphia tonight. But guard Tony Allen, who was questionable with flu symptoms, worked out during Tuesday morning shootaround and will be available.

"Without KG, we just have to execute better on the offensive end and gets stops on the defensive end," Celtic guard Rajon Rondo said. "We'll miss him. He's a big part of our offense. But Glen Davis stepped up last game (a 109-101 win over Minnesota) and he'll be there again. We need everyone but if someone's not there we're a team. We're going to try to get the win."

Garnett and Paul Pierce have been chosen for the NBA All-Star Game Feb. 15 in Phoenix and Ray Allen could be a candidate to replace Orlando's Jameer Nelson (shoulder separation). Commissioner David Stern is expected to announce a replacement as early as Wednesday.

I hope he really is recovered, because Tony playing in a fog of flu-induced semi-consciousness might get ugly.

This could be tough game with out KG, cuz Philly likes to run, and does it well.

Ahhh, trap game Tuesday.. We'll need a big game from Paul(again) or Ray imo to get this one. I could definitely see this being a last minute affair.

Is it bad that I was rooting for Tony Allen to get sidelined with the flu? ....

^ yes. Yes it is.

Last game without KG was brutal to watch!

Just wow. We really aren't used to playing without him at all.

Alright I'm a Sixers fan and I know KG is out, but Celts have nothing to worry about. Sixers are struggling to work Brand into the rotation. Dalembert's ankle is worse than people realize, so he is going to be ineffective. Sixers really have no backup center, so missing KG will not be that big of a deal. Rondo should play like a madman after the all star snub.

Looks like it's going to be one of those get on Pierce's back type games. TA and Ray Ray both having some issues with the flu as well. Not much scoring after that to help out Pierce.

I like what I see from Rondo early. He's attacking offensively.

Really liked rondo's aggressivness the 2nd half of the first quarter, would like to see ray assert himself a little more, one complaint baby and Perk were not worked more vs a small philly squad, whichever one is not gaurded by dalembert should be gone to....POB sighting good board.
