I don't know who to vote for. Ray or Pierce.

Good little problem to have, huh?

Edit: going with paul after Donny and Tommy both mentioned how clutch of an assist that was from pierce. And that is true.

The Truth - 29-8-6 - he made all the clutch baskets that brought us back in Q4 - until sweet Ray put the icing on the cake.

The Biscuit man was wrong for the 1000000th time. Joey, wake up, think positive, and enjoy this team and these HOFers while we have them. What is wrong with you?

Two huge shots from Ray Allen tonight. But I had to go with Paul Pierce.

Ray. Without him, all of Paul's great play would have meant nothing. 6 points from Ray within 30 seconds.

Can Pierce, Ray and Big Baby share it? Pierce was huge in the 4th, plus the assist to Ray. Ray was clutch with 2 threes, including the game winner. Baby was clutch, with the two offensive rebounds in the waning seconds and the clutch shot, plus his first double/double.

This whole team is clutch. 8-)

Pierce with a +14 takes this cigar. His pass and drawing the d made ray's hot possible

This is a really tough call, do you give it to the guy who set up the open shot or the guy who made the open shot?

The thing is you cant, so lets look at other measusres, statistically peirce had the better game and carried us back in it, I am not a huge fan of +- but tonight it is a little telling considering how much they were on the floor together, Pierce +14 Allen -1. Baby and Rondo (besides the turnovers) had good games too.

A very close call but given the team lead in points and more rebounds and assists but fewer turnovers have to give it to the captain.

Legs at the end, plus a solid overall game.

Isn't that the argument PP's lovers give when he's clutch in the last 60 seconds?

One can argue that given how clutch the shot was outweighs the difference in stats between him and pierce, and that argument has merit, I just disagree with it since it was a great pass by pierce to set it up, pierce shouldered the load the last few minutes to put us there and the plus minus difference of 15...when they played most of their minutes together means that pierce played much better without his wingmate then Allen did making his contribution more valuable.

O captain! My captain! PP gets my vote.

It's almost too sweet to have two players that clutch on the same team. It wasn't pretty all the way but boy, was that a satisfying ending.

I didn't see the game, as usual -- but who did better at the defensive end? It's not obvious from the box score what the Sixers' rotations are, since Green started but didn't play a lot of minutes

Ray was clutch, but Paul was the warrior who kept it close enough for Ray to be clutch, got to give it to superman.

Gotta give it to Ray. Hitting a last-second shot gives him a huge boost, despite PP setting him up and great play in the 4th. So impressive for Ray to have those legs at the end of the game after playing 43 minutes.

Not that you can go wrong either way.

Isn't it awesome that 2 of our future HOFers were clutch as hell tonight?

Paul 29-8-6 and singlehandedly keeps us in the game and brings us back in Q4. Ray with 2 super clutch 3s (gamewinner set up by Paul as in the past). This cigar unequivocably belongs to the Truth, but we obviously could not have won this game without Ray Ray's "ice in the veins" daggers at the very end.

P.S. Jammer, it is pristinely clear from many of your posts that you are certainly not a Pierce lover; indeed, even now, you consistently undervalue him and do not realize that he ranks only a bit behind Kobe and King James amongst wings in the NBA. If this were 2003-2006 (when Paul was carrying garbage teams on his back night after night, being doubled and tripled teamed on every play, and still willing us into the playoffs as an eighth seed a few times all by himself), you would be a charter member of the "trade Paul for Darius Miles or Corey Maggette or whomever" fan club.

I went with PP. He is just an amazing player! He carried us throughout the game and Ray finished it off. It is just a joy having to clutch players on one team.

And I have to give credit to Davis! 42 minutes played, I don`t even know how he did it. A very solid performance from him and some huge jumpers in the 4th quarter. He really is playing well in the last couple of weeks!

Can't we split the cigar? I can't vote... maybe that's because I'm European and more used to a tied game ;)
