I attended the game last night and the officiating was horrible. Washington, Zarba and Mott were the officials and in my opinion they are all bad. I'm not sure who is who in that crowd but I've seen these guys before and they've been bad in prior games. tThe one African American ref in particular is clueless. This was a classic situation of the home team getting all the calls and the visiting team not gettng the same calls. Pierce was getting hacked every time he went to the basket with no call while on the other end they were calling all of the ticky tacky calls against us. The final culimnation of the bad officiating was the non-call on Pierce when he got thrown to the floor and the sixers got a fast break basket the other way while Pierce was stil crunpled on the ground. How do THREE refs all miss that? It was a pathetic excuse for referreeing. when you see a 2-1 disparity in free throws you know it's a bad job. It's not like we weren't going to the basket. At least one of those rondo turnovers ( the walk) appeared to be a bad call to me since he wasn't given an opportunity to take a step.I thought Rondo played carelessly tonight and had a very uneven game so I certainly don't put all of that on the refs but several of those turnovers were simply bad calls. I saw 2 out of bounds calls right in front of me that went to the sixers where the ball was clearly off of them. Tommy must have been going nuts!!!

The calls were pretty even in the first quarter---then the C's got out to a 14 point lead and it all changed in a heartbeat--The refs wanted to make it a close game-not a blowout....The C's turnovers started right when the calls changed in Philly's favor----Ray Allen had to hit those two 3 pointers to pull this CLOSE game out---a game which shouldn't have been close in the first place.

I'm always with you on how bad the refs are, Maxwell, don't you worry!

Unless you are the team from LA, NY, or CLE, the calls will always go against you...especially if you're the team from BOS playing anyone else...(and this happened even when we sucked all those years)
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Boston should be the last team complaining about Refs well maybe except the Lakers. Okay, I shouldnt say the entire team, but KG gets away with so much illegal screens.

I don't want to make this into a conspiracy thing because true or not it just sounds ridiclous. What I want to know is that game was clearly not being called evenly and consistently outside of the ridiculous blown call on Pierce, (to be fair Pierce clearly fouled Igoudala on the last play as well).

Could the difference in calls be as simple as which official is on the baseline on one end vs the other? Whatever it was it was awful.

What about the 15 seasons or so after Bird and before Garnett came? Historically the Celtics don't have a reputation for getting away with calls, so people only focus on a few seasons. Typical anti-Celtic bias.

Damn you beat me to it. The Celtics are the *ONE* team in the league that has a history of being successful and the league constantly sticks it to them. And this isn't recent, this goes back to Red's early days in the mid-1950s...

So anyone who says otherwise can STFU as it is well documented and long-running...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Return to Boston Celtics
