Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that Bell is being paid a ridiculous contract plus he's really not a true point. Scal and Powe also both have value for the Celtics, not in favor of that deal especially when Marbury is still a strong possibility.

I actually was thinking about the Bell/Scal swap in my pipedream of acquiring Charlie V. for Leon, TA, and future 1st.

I'll pass. Scalabrine had been playing well for us. Sam Cassell is better than Bell. If we don't get Marbury in the nest 2-4 weeks, Sam will starting playing. Don't forget Sam was balling in the 1st half of the season with the Clippers last year. We have been holding him out for the playoff run so he can be fresh in the 2nd half.

Noway Ainge will take 3 more year salary (to 2012!) for a backup PG with PER=8. Ainge even don't want to give Posey that long contract.

Bell has a horrible contract and he isn`t a PG...

Re: Trade Idea: Bos/Mil
To be fair to Charlie Bell he may not be a starting caliber PG but he avg essentially what House and Allen do combined for assists and about a 3rd of the turnovers.
Bell actually is essentially a combo of House and Allen. He has good size for a PG, and can handle the ball and run an offense if not a drive and dish guy. He can shoot the 3, though he is having a down year. He is a decent man to man defender though his numbers aren't very good because he ends up having to guard SGs on a team with awful perimeter defenders and about a half dozen pgs.
What I like about him is he is tough a kid who can step up his game. If someone gets in foul trouble or injured he has proven he can step up in the moment.
He has 3 years after this on his contract that goes from about 3.5 to 4 mil (2-3 mil less a year than Posey). I would rather have Charlie Bell than Stephon Marbury, I can tell you that. I like Tony Allen but I think Boston would be a better team with Bell and House in the backcourt and some mins going to Bill Walker as a slasher on the wing.

Re: Trade Idea: Bos/Mil
I believe there was some serious discussion of us signing him in the off season but he took more money to stay in Mill?

He was a RFA. We tried to work a S&T but couldn't get it done. Miami ended up signing him to an offer sheet just before camp opened and MIL matched.
