Eddie's going to Phoenix, BUT...

Post#1 » by stretch » Thu Feb 5, 2009 12:17 am

but he's going because that's his home.

just in: Eddie House wasn't invited to the 3pt contest

it's going to be Kapono, Rashard Lewis (who apparently deserved an all-star spot over his mentor Ray Allen), Bibby, Mason (Spurs), and Daequan Cook.

I thought I read somewhere that Ray Allen turned down a spot.

The league trying to get Allen to do the 3PT contest after missing out the ASG is disgusting

That really angers me. I was looking forward to watching him.

I'm glad he's not in the contest...rest those legs up for the rest of the season...who cares about some stupid contest on All-Star weekend?

Eddie would be fun to watch in the All-star weekend. He has pretty quick release. Seriously, this is Krapono's to lose. After all, we signed him just to win the 3-point shootouts. Hehe

I might get ripped for this but other than the last couple weeks Eddie hasn't really done all that much this season, and while some of the other choices weren't much better only so many can be chosen. He's really not that much more deserving than any of the other guys so it really doesn't bother me. If he went I wouldn't feel like he didn't deserve it either, he's just not so far above any of the guys in there that it's a big deal. If Ray didn't get an offer it would have been a travesty, however, he's been consistently excellent with his shot all season.
