Are you kidding?

Morrison is a below average player. I'm not sure he is even as a good as Vlad

Great trade for LA, they trade a horrible player with 3 years left for a horrible player with 2 years left...

Lakers get shorter.. I guess Josh Powell takes Vlad Rad's spot in the rotation? Doesn't seem Morrision will get much pt over Walton & ARiza.

Agreed shrewd move by LA Vla Ra is better then morrison despite the lack of D, but his contract was bad and he didnt have a big role on the team smart move.

LA traded someone who was shooting 44% (both fg% and 3 pt%) and got back someone who's shooting 36% fg and 34% from the 3. To me it looks like they lost a shooter. But overall it doesn't make a difference this year. Radmanovic is the better player right now, but LA gets to cut a year off his contract and if it allows them to keep Ariza/Odom this offseason then it's a good deal for them since Radmanovic has been out of the rotation anyway.

I think dannyhad interest in both morrison and reddick. I wonder if the lakers did this deal to prevent us from getting morrison.

This Lakers didn't do this deal to prevent you from getting Ammo Red2...

They did this for financial reasons, Vlad had 3yrs on his contract and Ammo has 2yrs with lesser money. If you watched the Game on Thursday against Lakers, you noticed no Vlad-Rad, he's that horrible! Remember the guy who Pierce walked by over and over in the finals against, yea that Vlad-Rad

And Ammo has been playing really bad this season.

Financial move overall to try and sign Ariza and maybe Odom.

Im just curious, how do you comeup with a post like this.

There are a lot of reason behind this trade like shobe explained a part of it, but to go after a player that has had a serious injury and another player who has certain personal issues with his role on a team and giving away a decnet spot up shooter in Vlad isnt because the Lakers are trying to prevent the Cs from getting certain players...........
Maybe one of the reasons is that were trying to free up 12 million in Vlads contract.
Maybe its because were trying to package a deal with another team with Morrison in that deal.
Maybe becasue Mitch has a talent for finding players that have talent yet they dont fit in other teams system and fit fine in the Lakers lineup. (Ariza) (Josh Powell).

I think thats probably what Mitch and the Laker F.O were thinking about more than hey lets go after Morrison so that the Cs dont get him.

What is the deal with all these conspiracy theories all of a sudden???

This is like the Brian Cook for Trevor Ariza deal last year. Lakers will see if they can eventually turn things around for Morrison like they did for Ariza this year. If not, they save some money.

Nice little move for the Lakers.. got to give them props for shipping out their worst contract for something somewhat ....well...better then what they had before.....it's moves like these that allow them to get better in the future...

As this is a no risk move and could have the potential to have a very high reward move for LA, what the heck are the Bobcats going to do with Vlad Rad for the next 2 years?!?!?! They couldnt have gotten anything better for a guy like Morrison who only has one year left?!?!?!?

Good news is that this does not impact us at all.

Except Ariza had shown signs of being a good player in the NBA already......Morrison has not.

Good financial move for the Lakers, but anyone who thinks this is going to have a positive impact on the court immediately for the Lakers has way too high an opinion of Morrison. He's a volume scorer who shoots 36%....

I don't understand this trade. Morrison has zero defense. Radman was a real killer against us last year.

Wait you mean he helped you guys RIGHT???
By playing no D on Pierce, by chucking up threes with no regret in the finals.
He was never good and he will never be good, he is too slow on D he cant move his feet, he always in foul trouble, and all that money to resign him was a waste and now we dumped him and his contract for a better contract for a lesser time.

I haven't seen Radmanovic play this year, but he gave you guys the option of putting him at the 4 and spreading the floor. I remember that was one of the keys in the Lakers making that huge run in the 4th quarter of game 2 and almost winning that game. Jeff Van Gundy really advocated the idea of putting Vlad at the 4 and spreading the floor for Kobe. Of course, there are some other repercussions in the making that move like getting beat on the boards and a weak defensive link. But you guys don't have that option anymore of putting a good 3 point shooter the 4 spot...like we lost with Posey as well. I don't think Morrison will give the Lakers anything...this year anyways. But if it helps to keep Ariza/Odom, I guess it's worth it.
