There are many possibilities regarding a trade, but once again Danny said the C's don't need one. What is he thinkng? There's no way the Celtics can gain homecourt with this line-up. Weak bench, 2 undersized front-court subs, no true PG no true SF. Geeh... IMO Celtics are done if nothing changes with this line-up. If the Celtics don't have problems why do they always slip at home? Danny Ainge should not wait for CLE to be 5 games ahead of the Celtics for the #1 seed.

Danny has to lie so he doesn't look desperate. He knows the Celtics as presently constructed doesn't stand a chance at repeating. The Cavs would beat us because of our dreadful bench.

so we win a nba title with great defense. now, we have another shot at a title with great defense. and you want to take a signficant downgrade at defensive ability at the center position?

kaman is very a good player, and probabbly a better player than perk overall- but isn't in the same league as perk defensively.

on top of that you want to trade our best perimeter defender (tony)
and our only back up big that knows all of our defensive rotations (scala).

this is an isiah thomas trade- great for fantasy basksetball and terrible for real life.

its all right. despite the hate, perkules will rise once again.

Since Kaman's been injured, I can't see him being moved prior to the offseason and this is definitely something to look into then. It's just too late in the season to be moving core guys... It may take awhile for Kaman to fit into the defensive scheme..

We have as good a chance as anyone to win a title this year.

This trade would guarantee that we have no chance at all.

Horrible idea. We can't trade a core player, paricularly the guy who's the backbone of our defense.

P Man you aren't trading KG. He is the backbone of your defense. I would like this trade even more if we could keep Perk. I'm all for the often injured kaman coming here.

Clippers have to get a good player in return for Kaman. Hence Perkins would have to be part of such a deal... Can't just throw em TA, POB and Giddens. Kaman's a very effective scorer..

^^This *is* the Clippers we're talking about...the level of historical ineptitude is high...we could probably get Kaman for a pair of sneakers...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I think DA should see if the clippers would trade camby for a 2nd round draft pick, hell why not offer then our first rounder as well.

Kaman sucks defensively and no bench has ever won a championship. Perk is perfect next to KG. We aren't messing with our starting 5 which is what does win championships.
