Who gets the Cigar, Rondo with the triple double, pierce with the clutch 4th, Doc with the team inspiring ejection..jk on that one. I voted for Rondo with the awesome stat line, very close over pierce, if he hadnt gotten last nights i might have gone for him

I can't believe I'm voting against 19 pts, 14 ast, 15 reb, but I have to go with Pierce on this one.

I had to go with Pierce. Just put the team on his back at the end there.

I give it to Pierce, nice to see you again Mr. 4th Quarter. Rondo's line was nasty as well. I think Powe deserves a slot on the ballot for his solid play on the interior and practically shutting down Dirk in the 4th.

Pierce may deserve it just on stat line (only 2 TOs, for example).

Add in three plays that decided the game (two baskets and a charge on Dirk) and fouling out Josh Howard, and I think it's an easy call.

Rondo was GREAT. However 31 points, 18 clutch in Q4, clutch last hoops in the last minutes, D on Howard, taking charge from Dirk. THE TRUTH. Mabye the media will realize what we have here. We have (AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD) a MEGASTAR close to if not equal to Kobe and Lebron.

And people, in about 10 games, he passes the Chief and becomes the THIRD LEADING SCORER IN CELTIC HISTORY.

This team has the heart of a champion. First half sucked but we blew them away in the second half and locked them down.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

I voted for Rondo. But maybe I just like rooting for the underdog.

Powe had great defense on Dirk in the fourth. Thibs stuck with what worked, which was nice to see. I liked the Piercecentric offense in the fourth, and wish they'd go to it more often. And what other point guard can grab 15 rebounds in a game like that, while dishing out 14 assists, and scoring almost 20? He's the Swiss army knife of point guards. And even with that statline, I voted for Pierce. Great comeback.

Edit: Rondo has averaged 11.8 points, 12 assists, and 9.2 rebounds over the past five games.

If Pierce doesn't get this cigar... I mean c'mon, what more do you want? He put the team on his back!

Listen, we played like a team the whole way through, well, up until Doc got sent to the showers. When tibs took over, he used Flip Saunder's patented "it's the fourth quarter let's give it to sheed for the fade away every single effin time" back when Flip was destroying Detroit. Except this time it was Paul Pierce, and this time it worked.

I am a little biased, because I am sentimental to the old days when every game was livin or dying on Pierce's heroics. This was Pierce's game to win or lose; and he dominated both Jason Kidd and Devin George ftw.

You guys are scaring me, like an untrained eye.

Yes, Pierce won the game in the 4th.

Rajon Rondo kept the team from being blown out by 20+
so they were close enough for Pierce's heroics.

Rondo: 19 Pts. (9-14 FG, 1-2 FT), 15 Rebounds, 14 Assists, 1 Steal, 6 Turnovers, 1 Foul
Pierce: 31 Pts. (9-20 FG, 13-14 FT), 5 Rebounds, 3 Assists, 2 Turnovers, 4 Fouls

Hardest vote I can remember. I thought Rondo was just great tonight he couldn't have done much more. That said triple double and all we were down 15. I hated our offense last night but when a team is playing defense like that you have to isolate PP on the elf. Pierce was a clinic last night and has to be the Victory Cigar. I wonder what his scoring totals would be if he always played out West were teams just seem to refuse to help defend.
