Hey guys

Over the years I've been updating those interested in how me and my team are doing in my league in Iceland.
Yesterday my team won the Cup (one of the two biggest trophies here). We played the biggest team in the country and I was guarding their best player (J. Stefansson, former Dallas Maverick player and was a starter for Lottomotica Roma last year). He is a super talented baksetball player.

Nobody thought we could pull it off, but we did.

I struggled in the first half but had 11 points in the 2nd half (3 3pts and two fts). This is probably the best day I've ever lived. If you're interested I might throw in some highlights from the game. Here are some pics.

John Locke- On a side note, how are things in Iceland now? You guys got submarined by the global financial meltdown. Has the situation stabilized?

Very cool. That trophy is sweet. Can you tell us a little more about the format of the tournament? Like how many teams there were? Is the championship for your league? I know international leagues are often a bit different so it would be interesting to hear how it is done in Iceland.

Gant: Nobody really knows how things are. Basicly things were to good to be true for about 5 years. CEOs of some companies held their birthday parties at, for instance, Jamaica, invited 200 people and booked 50 Cent to perform. I mean, it was just crazy. And a lot of people lost touch with reality, I think. But overall I think that people are adjusting to this new situation. It's not like we suddenly got poor, we will cope.

DorfonCeltics: The format is just like the NCAA Tournament. They do have some perliminary rounds and after that 32 teams are eligible for the tournament. And then they draw who plays each other. One game at a team, knockout system, until two teams are left. The final game is played in the National Arena, and it was PACKED yesterday. Just crazy.
Then we have a regular league and the top 8 teams andvance to the playoffs and play best out of 5 games series. My team is currently 6th in the league, but we're 10-1 since our new coach took over and we have won both of the biggest teams in the league.

Is there a limit on how many foreign players can be on Icelandic league teams? I know most countries have that. How many Americans play for you guys?
