But, a trade for him doesn't look feasible.

I hope its not feasible this would only really make sense to me if we were to turn around and trade Ray in a separate deal.

Would love to see it happen, especially since it'd mean the end of the TA fiasco in Boston. He'd be great for matching up with taking Posey's role of shooting and matching up against someone like Kobe. Maybe not so much on Lebron.

Why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone?
To Boston Crash Wallace, Bell & Mohammed
To Charlotte Ray Ray, Baby, & Giddens

This is really quite interesting news. This could mean multiple things.

Scal and Giddens work but i doubt Cha would bite on that offer.

Bobcats want no part of Ray Allen, or any of the Celtics' smaller pieces.
Don't see how they can get Raja, a Larry Brown favorite.

I'm pretty satisfied with House as the back-up SG, as long as Pruitt plays next to him. Pruitt has the size to defend SGs, does a good job bringing the ball up the court, and can hit the three ball. Having House be the point guard is really undesirable because his shots are worse, and he's terrible at bringing the ball up the court and distributing. What we need is a back-up small forward and center.

Raja would be perfect for this team as a defensive stopper instead of TA. But we have no assets to get him, especially with Tony out...

I am surprised that DA is interested in Raja.
I can understand, but I guess you would think he was trying to get a big instead, which he probably is ... I guess.
I would prefer front court help than backcourt.

I dunno, Raja seems to be living off reputation a bit. Then again, in the playoffs, reputation can be the decider with these NBA refs.

I have to laugh at the comment that the Bobcats would want no part of Ray Allen. what universe are you living in? Do you actually think Raja Bell is a better player than Ray ALlen?

^ The sad part is this turned into a trade ray thread. How?

Considering salaries and how would players fit in curent system - yes, probably. After all only one man's opinion matters - Larry Brown.

First off the Celtics aren't trading Ray Allen. Ray has one more year on his contract and it make more sense to trade Ray Allen next season when alot of team would be looking to clear out some cap room. Ray Allen expiring contract is a big chip for Danny Ainge in next season trading market.
As for getting Bell it make sense and it leads me to believe that Tony Allen is not right from a health standpoint and the Cs have doubt he will be there during the play-offs. I like the idea of getting Bell because he plays good defense and he's a better shooter from the outside then Tony is.

why do people on this board always talk about trading Ray Allen? You do realize that he's one of the premier shooting guards in the game still.
He's a great fit for our team and he's not going anywhere. Even I toyed with a Ray Allen for Shaq post, but it was only for fun. I would never actually do it.

Once again Tony gets injured before the trade deadline. I wonder if Charlotte would've had an interest in Tony and House in exchange for Bell.
