Why is The Big Show on WEEI discussing the steroids issue in baseball when they should be discussing the Celtics and possible trades and free agent signings, especially since the trade deadline is quickly approaching? Save the steroids discussion for another time!

Because WEEI sucks....

Because the Big Show knows nothing about basketball.

They finally just started talking about the Celtics and NBA rumors. They said Patrick O'Bryant was dealt by the Celtics to the Kings which opens another roster spot for the Celtics.

The discussion only lasted for a minute and then they went into a break.

99% of the posters here know more about basketball than those idiots on the Big Show.

It's WEEI... All four shows discuss baseball 90% of of the time for the entire year, every year. If you're a fan of the other sports wanting to listen to conversations about that sport. You might as well turn your radio off. Especially, if you're a basketball fan. It's been A-Rod/steroid talk all this week.

Niot sure why this is a suprise. 99% of what WEEI talks about is redsox/baseball related. Even in the middle of December they will still talk about baseball.

Dale and Holley were atleast *attempting* to talk hoops earlier. The sad part of the big show is Glen used to actually follow the C's

Maybe they'd talk about the C's and the trade deadline if there were some actual trade rumors going around that were worth talking about. They mentioned the POB trade, but did you really want them to get into it and break it down? As for free agent signings, what would you like them to talk about? How maybe Marbury, Joe Smith, etc. get bought out? That's just pure speculation at this point.

Sorry, but A-Rod and steroids kinda trumps POB to Sactown.

We know all that we need to know about A-Rod and steroids. The Big Show made an error today by simply repeating the same old stories that fans have heard all of this week and engage in endless speculation concerning the steroids issue. I will become more interested if the names of the other 99 baseball players who tested positive for steroids are released. Until then, there is nothing new for them to discuss.

Also, other NBA deals have gone down and there are many other rumors around the league that are well worth discussion. Why is it OK to discuss the Red Sox at all times during the year and not the Celtics even though the trade deadline took place this afternoon?

Ordway is the program director. Why won't he dedicate one day for the Celtics like they do for the Patriots who I believe actually have two days during the week during the season.

Listen, I'm not trying to defend EEI here, trust me. And I will say that I did not listen to the show, so if they are just rehashing old stories, then I can see where you're coming from. But I just don't see how a POB trade where we do nothing but open up a roster spot that may or may not be filled by someone who may or may not be bought out is something that is interesting to the masses, rather than talking about one of the best players in MLB who just got caught cheating and has his entire legacy tarnished.

I probably will get bashed for this again, and considering where I'm posting this, I guess that shouldn't be much of a surprise. I love talking C's and enjoy the comments about the C's moves and potential moves on realgm, but I don't think that we can speak for the [majority of sports fans who listen to WEEI. I would tend to guess that the majority of casual sports fans who follow all of the teams in the area wouldn't stop what they were doing if the clowns at EEI started talking about the great POB blockbuster.

Because they suck, that is why. I stopped listening to WEEI when the car I bought, for whatever reason, doesn't get any AM stations. And let me tell you, my life is much, much better without it. I am slowly getting tired of the Comcast Sports show, but that is really all we have. Most of the hosts we have a just a bunch of tools. I only watch for the guests like Spears, McAdam, Bulpett, Russillo, etc... But when I see any of the EEI guys like Ordway and his fat cronies, it is bye, bye. For as big as sports is around here, you would think we would get better, but oh well.

I can deal with Dale and Holley. I think they do a solid job for the most part. The other two shows are just garbage.

I listen to Dennis and Callahan purely for comedy, they had on Mr. Skin the other day, I thought it was funny. But SSK is right, dale and holley isn't bad. I like them. The only show I really listen to. The Big Show is terrible. I only listen to it on my way to work for the Sports flashes.
