Without KG who is going to step up?

Post#1 » by PPAW4Life » Sun Feb 22, 2009 2:54 am

I know Ray and Paul will elevate their games but more is needed.

The easiest pick is obviously Rondo but I have a funny feeling that Perk will surprise a lot of us.

Basically the starters + Scal IMO, i dont really trust anyone else on the bench to step up for more than a game or 2

I would like Leon to prove me wrong though

Pardon me, I am really drunk, finished a full bottle of wine...

I don't really care who steps up. Nobody has to. We already clinched za playoff spot in the East and homecourt will go to Orelando or cleveland now that KG i9s out. It doesn't really matter now. Ansd I feel totally confident with winneing homecourt awauy from either team. The rest of the Eastern Conference... ppppffffffsssstttt.... give me a break. Thwy are all awful. I say, follow San Antonio's lead and sit Ray, Paul, RRondo, and Perk for 2 full weeks )NO PLAYING TIME WHATSOEVER) and bring them back when KG is back. Totally refresh the starting line-up..

Homecourt is lost against the teams that it matters against, so mine as well go in fresh in the playoffs. All that matters is what you do in April< May, and June... so relax now, put on your boots when it matters,m and win #18!!!!!!!!!!!!

From now on, AInge needs to start drafting size. Damn it.

So if Ainge drafted by size.... no Rondo right? Look at POB, drafted what (?), #9... what good is he? If anything that I'm confident in Danny (EVERYTHING), it is especially when he is making a draft pick. Danny brought the players in needed to win # 17. 'nuff said.

Few things...

1. guy who is gonna step up? Tony Allen. Just kidding he is garbage and i just needed to continue to voice this.

2. I'm officially happy to have Brian Scalabrine on my team. Hes a big guy who plays hard defense and can spred the floor. I always thought the "untangables" people claimed him to bring the team was garbage people said to excuse the monstrosity of a contract ainge gave him, but I have to say hes a true pro and a great vet for our team and i think hes going to be the guy that steps up.

3. If i hear one more I trust everything Danny Ainge does Im going to puke. People need to get with the program. Yeah I'm happy we won a championship too but call a mule a mule.....Danny Ainge is IMO the best drafter of talent in the league....He continuously pulls great players from the bottom ranks of the draft and for that I give him all the credit in the world....As a GM however he is not nearly as good as everyone says he is and honestly I don't trust him at all....This guy constantly give horrendous contracts (See Scalbrine) and he makes ridiculous roster moves that make no sense (See Antoine walker round 2, and Ricky Davis). Yeah he got KG, I get it. But lets not forget he traded the whole team away for him, which is what every other team in the league tried to, or would have tried to do. We jsut got him cause we had the best package cause of AInge's drafting abilities. Had he not gotten KG he just would have pulled another Ricky Davis like move with getting Ray allen - it wont get us championship but it will keep people watching the team.

In conclusion, Tony Allen if horrible, Scal is gonna step up, and people stop thinking Danny Ainge is a good GM, cause he's not.

I'm really worried that this will wear down our other elite old guys. Doc's gotta just play Ray and PP normal minutes (or less). It would be a HUGE disaster to have an overuse injury.

Probably Rondo. He stepped up last year in KG's absence and has now put up one big one today.

I dunno who will step up but we'll be OK. it'll be someone else every night. probably lose a couple of more games tho. no biggie.

LMAO @ Federale and his anti-Ainge rant. seriously, agenda much??
OMG he gave Scal, a decently productive bench player, a $15milyr contract! oh the humanity!!!
and if any other team could have traded away half their team to get KG, believe me, they WOULD have. ainge could do it because he had the pieces. that wasn't an accident, and it wasn't easy to set up.

Well, Scals and Baby had fine games today against the Suns IMO. Smart play all around. Leon was laughable trying to front Diesel, but that's not his fault.

Rondo,PP and Rayray of course but I think Scal will provide some defense. Scal is silent worker right?
