I just read on Hoopshype that they are looking at him and Pops Mensah Bonsu. They must want to just shoot long range shots.

I wonder if he'll ever get his career on track. Does he even realise he needs to get in shape?
Also, it would be precious if there would be a picture of him during these workouts, just to check if he's improved or worsened since last year

Yep, exactly what I said in the other thread. People think too much about Toine's negatives and don't look at the pluses. The guy can dribble and pass better then most 6 ft 8 players. Plus he was a vital part of this team and the Miami Heat title team.

NBA Finals 2006
http://www.nba.com/finals2006/It was less then 3 yrs ago guys. If he can give half of what he gave with the Heat he'd be better then anybody else currently on our bench.

Baby and Powe are both better than Toine now. They're even better than Toine 3 years ago.
it's about roles. our guys play well because they know their roles, and they defend. toine's only role he knows is option 1a. and right now he's about an option 6 kind of player (on a 5 man team).

I don't think Antoine's an upgrade over what you already get from Scalabrine. Would you rather have Antoine or Scalabrine starting in place of Garnett right now?

You guys shouldn't have let Posey go, w/ tony allen out you guys probably need another scorer(house is inconsistent) and a threat period off the bench. Starbury or walker could help you guys out in the playoffs.

I don't know if Walker has any gas left in the tank but I like his trash-talking that we could use against LA.

You're thinking too much about the positives and not looking at the negatives. He's done. He was an inefficient chucker before he was done and now he's an inefficient chucker out of gas. There's no reason to bring him in other than for nostalgia from the Celtics' dark ages.

How do I know? Because he was done with in his time with Miami. Hell, look at cfan's post with the link to the 2006 finals recap. He only put up 50% shooting in one game and it was in a loss. That was three years ago. If you can't be a mildly productive big with slightly post prime Shaq and D Wade opening the game up for you, then you aren't going to be able to do so with our big three a few years and cheeseburgers later.

I am disappointed with Leon Powe's play. He has regressed since last year. (Tony Allen has played better this season....very scary.)
I cringe every time we throw the ball into the post for Powe, because he will a.) turn it over, or b.) get fouled and miss a lot of free throws killing our team's FT%.
Big Baby is our best big off the bench currently, (since Scal is a starter now).
House and Scal are basically tied as our best bench players.
