Does Marbury get bought out today, and we all go to sleep tonight with smiles on our faces with thoughts of 18th banner dancing in our heards?

And why does everyone assume he'll be a good soldier if he comes here? He may be as much of a cancer as he's always been....no one knows...

I think it's total BS that Walsh is trying to get him to not sign with us. After the way he's been treated this year by the coach and management, I hope it gives Marbury extra motivation to join us and smack the Knicks around.

Nothing is going to come out of today's meeting between Walsh and Marbury. I really don't care what happens to tell you the truth. I can't wait until March 1st so this whole Marbury mess can get behind us.

I would like to see Steph get bought out and come to the celtics, but if it doesn't happen I would absolutely not be opposed to signing sam cassell and giving him those back up pg minutes. If I remember correctly, this time last year Sam was supposed to be the answer to all of our back up point guard problems - he didn't really deliver for us last year and we made out anyways, but this year he has had a whole season to get to know the system and i bet there still some fuel left in the tank.

P.S. you dont have to worry about any nutcase issues with him either (who'd have thought), so he might even be a better option the Steph if you ask me....

I really don't see Starbury coming here and checking his ego. How is KG going to make him do this when he wouldn't even do it for the people signing his checks? All set w/ Starbury.

Same, I **** hate the Knicks and they've done this for PR more than anything by now...

I think Marbs is going to get bought out, come here for the rest of this season, and be a good soldier. Why? Not because he is a good soldier, but because he is playing for a contract next year and he knows it. What better way to distance yourself from the "cancer" tag than come in, be on your best behavior, and contribute to a team with a real shot at a ring? He'll be a story line with national exposure and Marbs, while crazy, isn't completely stupid.

It really boils down to how badly Marbury wants to win a championship.

So fair if he's not willing to give up another million dollars to get his buyout to work itself out then I don't think he really wants to win a ring all that much.

seriously we don't need Marbury because the mins in the playoffs should go to Rondo. Rondo should be playing close to 40 mins i'm sure he can handle that as he is only 23 but it would be good to have marbury as insurance.
