Interesting to hear that he was interested in Marbury during the Pre-Season....I'm guessing he had this all worked out a long time ago---nice to have a real Celtic running things.

Ainge is no genius, but he's smart enough to understand about doing your homework, keeping your options open, etc.

And he understands basketball.

His player judgments are sometimes wrong, but never crazy.

Not a Genius?....the team he took over only had Pierce and Walker--NOBODY else....took him a few years of shuffling/dealing..but........he's a Miracle Worker-!!

Not a genius? He took over with Pierce and Walker, was forced by ownership to chase a pink dragon after the 2002 Eastern Conference Finals appearance. Realistically he tore down and rebuilt a Championship caliber team in 3 seasons. He missed the mark on Marcus Banks, but he has more than made up for it with Rajon Rondo. 2nd round role players shows he has the skill to fill out a bench fairly easily (attracting quality talent to sign as an 11th or 12th man is unrealistic...on the other hand if someone flew under the radar on draft day, end up in Boston mid 2nd round they feel as if they have something to prove.) I am more than confident he will know how to handle the Big 3 down the road.
