Looks like Cleveland is going to get their man. I wonder who the "suprise" player is......? Rasheed?

hmmm...the Spurs eh...that sounds about right---as long as the Lakers don't win the title--I'm content...Teams are reacting once again to a Danny Ainge move.

what about David Lee?....wasn't there some chatter about him a couple of weeks ago--although I don't know why NY would do it--he's great.

Is Oklahoma City pushing for this buyout? It has to... Otherwise, this makes Smith out to be a dishonest sack of...

I'm going to take a guess and say that the "high profiled forward" who could be bought out tomorrow is McDyess. He has already stated that he'll test free agency. If not, then it might be Gooden.

If a guy gets bought out, doesn't he have to clear waivers first? Then, if the Cs are behind the Lakers and Cavs, couldn't they just claim him, cut someone and pay him? Not sure how it works in the NBA.

Well, Sheed SHOULD end up here---after all--it was Danny who got involved and enabled him to get to Detroit in the first place---Dumars owes us-!

What if Rasheed, Joe Smith AND Gooden all get bought out?...what happens?

Pretty sure you need sufficient cap-room to claim him.

In that article, a lot of people keep thinking Sheed is the "mystery player", mainly because after Ben Wallace broke his leg it's rumored he told people he was going to try and call Rasheed Wallace to see what his situation was.

I personally doubt it, but we'll see. If Sheed is bought out though, the rumors were probably true, and he'll probably end up a Cav.

I doubt it turns out to be Rasheed if it's even anyone. Why would Detroit cut ties with one of their best players when A) they're still in a position to make the playoffs and B) buying him out could help a contending team if they've a roster opening. So, Dumars helps a contending team and receives no compensation other than to free cap space. I don't buy it. If that's the case, it makes more sense to allow him to walk after the season. Then his entire salary clears off.

I believe Celts are out of luck. I think you already blew your wad on Moore and Marbury. I don't think you have enough of the MLE to be able to sign anyone else major.

Assuming all 3 are bought out, it'd probably be more like.

Sheed to the Cavs.

Joe Smith to the Spurs(Dan Fegan is Joe Smith's agent, and Varejao's agent..if the Cavs sign Sheed...he won't want Joe in Cleveland because Joe would be the 4th big, and Varejao's minutes would be reduced. )

Drew Gooden to the Suns.

I'd imagine Boston is done with signing players.

Maybe. They're free-falling. I think they've had as many losing streaks this season comparable to the teams that have been out of playoff contention. That Iverson trade wasn't just bad, it was awful.
