Celtics forward Brian Scalabrine is slated to be out the remainder of this month after being diagnosed with post concussion syndrome. Scalabrine suffered his third concussion this season against the Nuggets on Feb. 23 and has not played since. He is currently resting and won't begin monitored basketball workouts until he shows improvement. Celtics coach Doc Rivers is hopeful that Scalabrine can return to action on April 1 against Charlotte.

Moore is going to get plenty of playing time. And without Scal he still is the only trusted mid range big we have.. even with the recent showing Baby has been putting on.

Looks like no Scal or KG for a while according to these two threads on them.

This should ultimately mean more bill walker and JR Giddens, but who knows? Doc might try Perk at SF before he plays one of the rooks.

Hope Scal gets well. He was actually going to be an asset come playoff time.

Davis has been hitting that jumper for a while and Doc wants him to take it. Alittle behind on the statement celtsfan.

I wouldn't say BBD has been hitting the jumper for a while. It was pretty ugly only a few weeks ago.

The last few weeks have been a significant improvement, but lets not rewrite history.

So far I trust Davis's jumper a lot more than Mikki's...maybe I was thrown off by a hot streak in the playoffs but Smith's seemed much more reliable than either.

If I really wanted to nitpick, I'd say Scal is a long range shooter, not mid range...

I don't know if we are watching the same number of games, but Davis has been taking that shot for awhile now. Maybe you don't realize it till now because he is playing more than before. It was well over a month ago that Doc said in an article that he wants Davis to take that shot more because he is hitting it at a high percentage in practice. No differense than him and the team wanting Perkins to take more jumpers last year because he makes them in practice but doesn't take them in games. Davis is starting to come into his own like he should be in his second year, and contributing what Ainge thought he could when drafted as a steal in the second round. Davis could hit the 15 ft. jumper in college and now has gone to 18-20 ft. away.

Taking and hitting are completely different.

He was clanking it until a few weeks ago. Now he is hitting it.

Hence the last few weeks being an improvement.

No denying that Baby has been hot of late, and I'm saying just keep him out there for as long as he is hot. We need all the help we can get with KG being out. I'd rather have Powe out there, but beggers can't be choosers and I am happy with that Davis has done of late. Moore may be getting more minutes than I like, we'll have to see in the upcoming weeks how his minutes fluxuate

Glen Davis has shot 48% from the field over the last 30 games (half the season).

I would love to see what his PER is over that stretch of games.

It's been inconsistent and streaky...but overall decent. Not quite"reliable" yet...but it's a huge addition to his game.

Just heard an interview with Scal on Dale & Holley. What a funny guy! I'll be glad when he's well enough to get back on the court.
