Why the Cavs getting #1 is a problem

The more games we play the more it looks like the Cavs are going to be #1 in the East.
So what, right?
We don't need home court, we can win on the road, all we need is to be healthy.
... and that is all well and true, but let's be real here.
It's likely that it's going to be a Cavs vs Boston Conference Final.
If that is the case, there is little chance either team wins the series in less than 6 games. Safe to say it'll be a 7-game series.
Am I the only one who has a problem with the C's playing Game 7 in Cleveland?
No one but the Lakers can win there. We got worked big time, and going back to last season, they look better to win in Boston than the C's do in Cleveland.
Doc seems too content in the #2 seed and it annoys me because I just don't have an easy time seeing us pulling a game 7 road win in Cleveland of all places. They've lost 1 game there all damn season! 1!!
We get #1 seed, than the likely game 7 will be in Boston and I feel much more content with that.
Does anyone share similar concerns?

i would, of course preffer a game 7 to be played in Boston.. but its looking less and less likely with our injuries
I think the other thing, is that the Cavs will manage to avoid the Magic in the second round, i dont think they are a huge issue for us to get past but they match up with the Cavs quite well, and that would take a toll on them
I think right now we just need to focus on each game as it comes, and despirately try to hold the number 2 seed, if the cavs drop some games and we catch up then great... but if not, i dont want the Det/Orl/Cle/Lal run to the finals the 3rd seed would likely give us
i just want a healthy team for the playoffs more than anything, hell.. if we are healthy we might not need a game 7... against anyone, we didnt for the lakers and they were favourites, same might happen with the cavs

I want to get healthy. If that means to lose in the seedings (we even may be third seed), so be it. We have NO chance in the playoffs when Rondo and Garnett aren't healthy. And if we destroy Allen's and Pierce' bodies, we are up for a rude awakening against Cleveland as well.

As far as I see it, the season isn't over yet and we'll cross that bridge when we get their. But from my point of view, if we can beat them without key rotational players and KG in Boston I don't see why we couldn't win at least one game at full strength in Cleveland still considering we lost a game over there earlier in the season... we are the defending champs after all. The team will also be more experienced as a unit in these upcoming playoffs then last year and I don't expect the same road problems.
Key Date: Sunday April 12th when the Celtics travel to Cleveland to play the Cavaliers. Third to last game before the playoffs and will be a very good gauge of where things stand.

It will be hard to beat Cavs at home, but its not like we have a choice now - two starters and three main back-ups are injuried... Main priority now is to get healthy, without it there is no rings anyway, HCA or not. At least healthy Celtics have a chance, regardless of the seed.

Who says we have to win game 7 in CLE? We could just as easily steal one of the earlier games in the series there...
Y'all who are so wedded to the #1 seed have NO **** FAITH AT ALL in this team and it's pathetic...

AGREED! I mean ya obviously Id love #1 seed but we could easily win one in CLE come back win the next two in Boston and only need to win 1 of the last 3. Were still the world champs, if they really want it theyll find a way to get it.

I don't think you understand, guys. Let's look at the Celtics remaining schedule, and my predictions:
Fri 13 vs Memphis L
Sun 15 @ Milwaukee L
Tue 17 @ Chicago L
Wed 18 vs Miami L
Fri 20 @ San Antonio L
Sat 21 @ Memphis L
Mon 23 vs LA Clippers L
Wed 25 @ Orlando L
Fri 27 @ Atlanta L
Sun 29 vs Oklahoma City L
Wed 01 vs Charlotte L
Fri 03 vs Atlanta L
Wed 08 vs New Jersey L
Fri 10 vs Miami L
Sun 12 @ Cleveland L
Tue 14 @ Philadelphia L
Wed 15 vs Washington L
So, clearly, based on my expert analysis and Celtics fandom, we're going to go 0-17 down the stretch, so we'll be lucky to get the 7 seed.
Regardless, we WILL NOT beat Philly/Miami/Atlanta in the first round.
And even if we do, we WILL NOT beat Orlando/Detroit in the second round.
If we miraculously do, we WILL NOT beat Cleveland in the ECF, or anytime at all for the next 25 years.
And if we amazingly get to the Finals, we WILL NOT beat the Lakers.
And even if we do win the Finals, we WILL NOT be allowed to keep the trophy, and it will be given to either Cleveland or L.A. anyway, teams who obviously deserve it more than we do.
So basically, the Cavs will get homecourt, and it won't matter, because the Celtics are going winless for the next 12-15 seasons, anyway.

After all the posts from Joebisquit this actually feels like a positive post...

Of course getting the #1 seed would be nice but the Celtics will have to play whatever hand we are dealt. I know last year they struggled in the playoffs on the Road but with a year under their belt I don't think we will see a similar problem. The silver lining of this injury period is that it has forced guys like Big Baby and Powe to step up even Perk has started to look better. In the playoffs if we can get our role players to continue to build off their recent confidence it will go along way.

Apparently it will be impossible so we should just forfeit the season now and come back again to try next year...

It's pretty apparent that the #1 seed isn't an option, so we just as well come to grips with that now. The bigger concern at this point should be getting the #2 seed, and I'm not particularly confident about that either. The road to a championship likely involves three series without home court advantage...a very tall task.

We still have one more game in Cleveland before the playoffs. I hope we win that game...that way all this bull about not winning in Cleveland can end...gee...If Cleveland gets home court, we won't have to win game 7...we can win game 1-2 or 5 before having to win a game 7...Last year we didn't beat them because we never had the sense of urgency to HAVE to beat them to go to the next round. Or does anybody here think we wouldn't have beaten Atlanta on the road if we needed too?? I really think we would....The first road win we had was against the Pistons, when we HAD to win, since we had dropped one at home...and that's what people need to see...when a team plays with a sense of urgency, they play differently. Or do you guys really think Ray,PP and KG will go down in the playoffs without a big fight?

I'm tired of everyone saying we'll be ok if we get the number 2 or 3 seed, when in all reality, thats crap. Yes, I'd rather be number one seed by a long shot, but we have to play with what we got, and what we got now is an injured roster and injured leader of this team.
If we get the number one seed, we'll easily be champs again, but if we don't, it'll be a long and hard trip through the playoffs.

Actually we should rest the entire team until LBron retires

if all our starters, don't forget about Perk are banged up, then there is 50-50 chance we make it to eastern conference finals.
