Nothing makes one feel better (or distracts) then to watch a person break out into song and dance. Ah, music... Granted this isn't the eighties anymore, but this season and the remaining schedule doesn't have to be all bad.

Simple Pleasures (1988) - Bobby Mcferrin

Don't Worry Be Happy

Here's a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry, be happy.
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy.
Don't worry, be happy now.

CHORUS:
Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy.
Don't worry, be happy. Don't worry, be happy.

Ain't got no place to lay your head
Somebody came and took your bed
Don't worry, be happy.
The landlord say your rent is late
He may have to litigate
Don't worry, be happy.

CHORUS:
(Look at me -- I'm happy. Don't worry, be happy.
Here I give you my phone number. When you worry, call me,
I make you happy. Don't worry, be happy.)

Ain't got no cash, ain't got no style
Ain't got no gal to make you smile
Don't worry, be happy.
'Cause when you worry your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down
Don't worry, be happy.

CHORUS:
(Don't worry, don't worry, don't do it.
Be happy. Put a smile on your face.
Don't bring everybody down.
Don't worry. It will soon pass, whatever it is.
Don't worry, be happy.
I'm not worried, I'm happy...)

We can no longer look at the schedule and point to a game say with confidence "The celtics will get a win that day."

I don't know, I just thought about this song and watched the video a bunch of times and felt somewhat better after today's game. Okay, not really... But, no sense in getting down about it. Having a healthy roster (except for Tony) is what one must look forward to before the playoffs.

If there is a team that can set back and get healthy and have the confidence that they have been there and know how to win there are three....Boston...the Spurs and the Pistons. All have a cast that are veterans and have been to the top, know how to win on the road and are Champions. The Lakers have 2 players who have but for the majority of the team this is new. There is no need for panic, it's a need to be fresh and healthy. So don't worry...be healthy...... 8-)

People just don't get it. It's like they're paid to be a jerk. So, whatever... I just ignore posters nowadays. It's not worth the negative energy to expend on acknowledging them. It's just unfortunate that posters claim to be a Celtics fan but readily can find time to attack another poster for no apparent reason other than to make their little lives important. They seek the attention. Sad, really...

Spot on! I stopped posting on another celtics forum because everytime I voiced my opinion, in what I felt was a rationale way, i got canned....so I left...and found REALGM.
Everyone is entitled to their views...if you disagree...voice it...just dont be a prick about it.

I'll take you advise and start taking note of who is bullying in their posts...and ignore em.

I liked this bonsai...with all of the rampant negativity coming from JoeBiscuit and DieselCeltic and others, we need to counteract it with positive vibes...rock on! :rocking:

I know what you mean... I left the Boston dot com site a few years ago due to immaturity and the irksome nature of some posters. Heck, I remember there was a message board on the Herald site too before it was scrapped entirely on account of posters arguing. Damn. That must have been a big argument for the webmasters or whomever in charge to shut it all down. Like you, I found this site and settled in only to soon discover that the community here isn't much different. You still have the instigators lurking. Too bad. That is, for the seemingly few of us that don't go out to bother other posters. We post and begin threads. How's that bothering them, I ask?

I wonder how long will my ignore list get before I get a message saying that it's full.

^It's getting worse now with the hiccups the team is having...we have guys literally losing their minds on this board being so negative...apparently they must not have been around during the bad years (or before that, earlier good years!) to understand what it's really like to be a fan...highs and lows, peaks and valleys, etc...

I got to witness the 1980s Celtics glory, the misery of the 1990s, the brief resurgence in 2001-2, the misery of the 2000s, and the magic of last year...and I never stopped being a fan. I think that's what it's all about and for some people to literally take delight in dumping on this team right now is (Please Use More Appropriate Word)...

It's a still from the video. I think the song makes a good theme song to this season. It's saying... Like, cheer up... Injuries are a part of the game.
