Garnett has been out with a sprained right knee he suffered Feb. 19 at Utah. The 2007-08 Defensive Player of the Year made the trip to San Antonio, but has not practiced since suffering the injury. Although Ainge is confident Garnett is ready based on his workouts this week, the team is still being cautious. "He's looking good," Ainge said. "He's made a great deal of strides, especially in the last 10 days or so. It took him a little while to get going. But in the last week to 10 days, he's been looking a lot better. "Just by the way he's moving, he looks fresh and healthy. We're still playing it by ear. We're still waiting to see what's going to happen. I'm confident that he will be back [soon]." A strong shootaround could get Garnett back in the starting lineup tonight. "I think we'll click right away, especially when we get Kevin back out there, our starting five out there, because they know how to play the game," Paul Pierce said. Boston Globe
ps....In other news, as expected, Ray Allen flew with the team to San Antonio today.

Whoot whoot, the soljah's are back baby. No way to KG and Ray fly all the way to San Antonio and NOT play. We'll actually have our full starting lineup back. The Spurs better watch out. KG's coming to get them.

I think they just let him go play practice isn't going to get his wind back anyhow you create the intensity he plays with outside of a game environment and he is going to be weak for the his first couple games back.
I (and my fantasy team) just need the big fella back on the floor.

Dickerson said that Max told Felger that KG was expected to play.
Who told Max that? Dunno.

All signs point to KG playing because if you look at how the Celtics have taking care of KG to this point you would know that if KG wasn't going to play they would have kept him home. So I'm pretty sure KG will play tonight or tomorrow night. He didn't fly down with the team just to hang out in SA locker room.....Also I doubt Ray Allen is playing tonight but Ray is a gamer but they said he would be out 1 to 2 weeks.

double freakin' gee
my worry is that we're gonna get KG, eventually Leon + Scals, maybe Tony and Pierce and Ray are gonna be hobbled by being the age that they are and having played the minutes that they've played.
Shoot Ray shoot, but only if you're healthy.

Stick around long enough and you'll be ready to kill yourself (how long before pogue crashes this thread with an anti-Ray post?)

I don't get it either.

But then I don't get the bashing of any players on the team you root for. They are on the team whether we like it or not, may as well root for each and every one of them.

when rayray **** the bed against cleveland in the playoffs. dont cry then, because he will **** the bed and we will need to be bailed out by pierce and KG.
