Not the biggest fan but any bit helps at this point

Good news. This gives him 7 games + plenty of practice time to shake of the rust. Him coming back will also help to reduce Pierce and Ray's minutes for the remainder of the regular season.

Alright, now lets see what he's got. When he's on fire he can really help this team.

Interesting. He wasn't supposed to be back until the 5th, and this gives him 2 more games to play himself back into the rotation. Hopefully, he's having salmon for lunch.

I am not a big Tony fan but we definitely need him! He can give Ray and PP some rest. He is certainly better than Walker at this point...

Welcome back, Tony!

Once he gets his quickness and explosiveness, he will be a great asset to our team. After all, he is the player we used in playoff rotations last year.

Isn't this what we were all saying LAST SEASON?

At least he's another (relatively) healthy body off the bench...

Marbury going to let TA out the box before long. TA gets to focus on D'ing up and getting his in fast break, passing lane swipes, secondary break, O-boards, dump offs and one dribble drives. In that role, Tony Allen is a mooonnnster. I can't wait to watch TA play again. Super HYPED!

We just need to get ALL healthy not just KG.

I, too, think Tony and Marbury will be good together, though I'm not too sure how a lineup of Marbury, House, Tony, ... will be, will they be too short to have Tony at SF?

Well we run that lineup of Marbury, House and Ray for about 7-9 minutes a game now. I think Ray is only about an inch taller than TA. Tony is definitely capable of defending guys 3-4 inches taller. He's even had some success against big guys like Carmello. I think he'll be fine in that role for 8 minutes a game. It will allow both Paul and Ray to get rest at the same time and come in fresh for that end of 2nd quarter/4th quarter push.

BINGO!

A big problem was always matching TA and Eddie - neither are PGs. It's gong to be interesting to see Tony play alongside a playmaker with good ball handling skills for a change. Hopefully they'll be good and ready with some nice chemistry by playoff time.

It allows TA to play his proper position, which is NOT at the point but to make cuts and off the ball...Starbaby will pass to TA and he can do his thing......another proper weapon in it's proper place.... 8-)

I also neglected to mention that Marbury-TA when paired together in the backcourt (which will likely be rare) would be a dynamic defensive duo. Playing alongside Pierce, KG, Perkins for example would be a downright scary and physical defensive unit.

I'd love to see TA get some serious minutes as he gets back into game shape and flow.

Im kinda split, I love watching Walker play and this is likely the end of that unless we are blowing teams out... but TA could be a great defensive weapon in the playoffs and we probably need to give him every chance to get back into top shape before then

Lets hope he can make an impact

I really think people underestimate Tony's defense. It makes him a much better option than Walker, imho.

Count me in among those who can't wait to see Tony play alonside Marbs. Put Eddie at the 2 and Marbury at the point and suddenly Tony is going to be a match-up problem driving to the basket for most benches. I've been down on him at times but I really feel like many here do, he was just asked to do to much being a semi-point. Take away a lot of the decision making and let Tony just play ball and hopefully we see the Tony that we love playing D and shooting foul shots, instead of turnover-Tony making bonehead plays. I'm pretty excited to see how this works out in the last few games, if Tony can get in game shape that unit should see some pretty good minutes together.
