Celtics Games Could Be Pulled From Air Today Over Squabble

Boston Celtics fans concerned about whether they'll see injured star forward Kevin Garnett during the upcoming playoffs may have bigger worries starting Friday - whether they will be able to watch the Celtics at all.
Comcast SportsNet, which provides live television coverage of nearly all Celtics games, could be pulled from Time Warner Cable subscribers as soon as Friday if the two companies don't reach a new agreement for the cable operator to carry the network.

Comcast is just awful. How many times this year have they had some sort of signal issue where where the picture dropped out? The are the worst thing to every happen to celtics broadcasts.

Yeah I'm happy it is so late in the year that it won't matter if it actually were to happen. But seriously, wtf. Something needs to be done.
Revolt again Comcast.

Would the Celtics be able to get out of their deal with comcast if this were to happen? Or could they even provide another channel with the rights to the games to those with Time Warner?
Since Time Warner is a pretty big cable company, it would only hurt the Celtics if they were to lose those viewers.
However, TWC is really pissing me off, their using their customers as leverage with their scrolling images telling us to call and demand we keep the channel. They pulled this same crap at the start of the year with about a dozen channels. Pay the damn money, if we have to, you do too.

Comcast is known for cutting corners and trying to save money meanwhile throwing millions of dollars into advertising. Has anyone seen some of those horrible commercials airing recently? Also- Has anyone ever had the privilege of talking to one of their customer service representatives? They are dumber than ants.
I cancelled my comcast service last year and a technician came and picked up all the equipment. They still started charging me for a few months and I had to call them about eight times and talk to about 50 different people for them to understand I was no longer a customer.

If it's not resolved by next season, I bet Time Warner would give you a good deal on the NBA League Pass if you complained enough. If they thought you were switching to dish if you couldn't get the games, they'd probably hook you up.

For now, But Verizon Fios is slowly spreading throughout Mass and they have a statewide permit in RI. So they should have a lot of RI done by the end of this year.
You couldn't believe the amount of people that I have on a waiting list to call when FIOS is available in their area. Comcast and Cox are a joke and their years of price gauging an inferior service because they have a monopoly will soon be over. Right now everytime they want to add a channel they either need to remove a channel or compress them at the expense of picture quality. From what the techs were telling me, FIOS is at about 20-30% compacity. So they can add tons of channels, on demand programing and other features without having to sacrafice picture quality. Plus, Fios will generally be the same price or cheaper than Cox or Comcast.
