Victory Cigar - Win over Pigeons

Post#1 » by BillessuR6 » Sat Apr 4, 2009 8:47 am

I am going with Perk. Monster game from him on the defensive glass! He is the only big man who plays big and gives us an inside presence!

Rondo also played very well, it is nice to see him being aggressive...

The most impressive thing about Perk's performance recently is that he has been avoiding fouls. The Celtics are down to three bigs on the active roster and honestly, without Perk in the game their team defense is pretty poor. Perk has improved so much, even compared to last year it is a joy to watch!

Perk gets really underrated around these parts. People seem to think that he's this big dumb (basketball wise) person, but if you really pay attention he really knows our team, he knows the defensive and offensive assignments perfectly, were you constantly see him point out things to others like Baby and Moore. Granted he has been with Doc the longest along with Pierce but its a thing of beauty to see us run plays in perfection (did you guys see the commercial with Rondo handing off to KG and the play ends up with a Pierce dunk against the Cavs in the Playoffs, beautiful!). and Perk is involved in our offense 95% of the time he's out there. Perk may make dumb moves some times but what player doesn't. His defense has been outstanding. It's about time the ref's let him play his style of game. The guy also doesn't back down from anyone!

Perk's the easy pick. I give the second cigar to Mikki Moore.

Perk...with all the overrating of Glen Davis around here, we need to focus on the *REAL* effective big man we have! PERK!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
